An invaluable suggestion (I'm sure there is something wholly 'ninja' about this, though). But I'd recommend Kaspersky AV instead of Norton for your protection.

It's far less of a resource hog and far more stable than Norton. (You will BE affected by both these attributes if you use Norton)

www.torrentspy.com - type kaspersky into the search box and download the torrent (read the instructions). You'll need a torrent client to download the software...I'd suggest Azureus. (google it, if you need to - it's free and simple)

It opens up a new world of ninjistu stuff as an extra benefit once you've got the knack of it.

some advice to those who are planning to use norton..

backup your registry before installing!!

norton is notorious for messing up your PC when you're trying to get rid of it

I'm with Brigand on this one. Kaspersky is a far better anti virus than Norton's.
