I should really get around to buying a couple of optical mice, but I have two no-brandold-style mice with the rollerballon my two machines and have never had problems. Have tried cordless mice on a couple of occasions (Logitech once) and have always had problems.
Never considered the trackball option - guess I associate them with laptops, and even with them I tend to use a mouse unless I can't....guess the mouse habit is too strong. Don't think I could handle not having some kind of pointing device - operating Windows/GUI programmes via the keyboardis a major pain in the butt....
