Well, good luck. I am happy things appear to be working now.

Every router has a reset function. What vendor is it from?

The Dogon told you correctly. Hit the reset button on the router and then follow the steps I gave you. The reset button a linksys is small and you will need a pen to push the button if I remember correctly. Once it is reset, the password is admin for the password you do not have type anything into the user name. hit enter and then go back through securing it and you should be fine.

If you do not remember the last phrase you used in the router to generate the key to put into your laptop's wireless card, just use the new key and place it in your card's setting and viola!!! You are secure again

Yes, but if someone wants to hack into your network they're going to do it anyway.
