http://www.etravelergear.com/keyvacclean.html

I never used one like that myself, I just Googled it.

It depends on the design of the keyboard. You can buy a new keyboard for $20 unless you are talking about a laptop.

I like the old IBM keyboards that were $100 or more. You can take a paper clip and straighten it out then bend little hooks on each end with long nose pliers. Then fold it in half so the two hooks can grab a keytop and you can pull all of the letters off then brush out the area underneath. You can also use cans of compressed air to blast stuff out.

Now if you would stop eating potato chips and crackers and KFC over your keyboard we wouldn't have these kinds of problems. I have pulled chicken bones out of keyboards.bighairlol

You could buy some compressed air from Maplin to do so. This may help.

From time to time I normally would tilt the keyboard and give it a couple to quick taps. You'll be amazed at what crap comes out of your keyboard.

LOL@Umbrachist. Chicken bones! Eating and blogging go hand in hand, so the food is here to stay I'm afraid.

It is actually a laptop keyboard-I should have stated that in myinitial post. SadlyI have already broken and then lost one key...I tried to clean by removing the keys and using drycotton buds.

But thanks everyone for the suggestions I will check those out.

If you use a laptop exclusively maybe you should buy a keyboard to use on the laptop when you are at home. I prefer the split keyboards anyway.

Less stress on the wrists.
