I have the 30GB version.

Only use it for music and such, not really for videos.

Wouldn't hurt to look here as a start.

I did try it once for videos and such, didn't work at the time and to be honest I didn't have the patience for it. Gave up after a while. Just concentrated on putting music on it....

The problem with iPod is that it needs an exact maximum video resolution size to work properly, no bigger than 480x480. So while it can play .avi files like DivX or XviD it won't "out of the box" iPods problem is it doesn't have a widescreen.

You'll need to find some sort of DivX iPod convertor, they cost money if you don't search hard enough for a free one, then there's the time wasted to encode and convert the video for the iPod.

Personally, I stay away from any big companies like Apple or Sonys hardware/audio gadgets, because they've normally restricted their products so that you can only do certain things in a certain way. So I'll get a no name cheap Chinese product instead which will play with the same audio/visual quality but with no restrictions.

The world's full of them..... and you know it!

Your hard drive is as big as the one in my laptop. I'm going to have to upgrade now.

Watch videos on a 2" screen! Why bother? Because you can?

Why not use it as a book reader? Download books and have it automatically scroll. How many books can fit in 60 gig?

30,000? That should last a weekend.bighairlol
