ZIMBABWE DELEGATION INFORMATION
October 1 – 6, 2006

Greetings Comrades,
We need to act quickly, tighten up our agenda and consolidate our gains.
Time is short.
In exactly six weeks, a delegation of Afrikans from the Uk and other parts of europe will be joining up with others from around the glob, linking up with our brother and sisters at home, in our committed effort to BREAK THEBUSH/BLAIR BOYCOTT AGAINST THE ZIMBABWEAN PEOPLE.

Breaking the Boycott
We are also taking a number of goods that are in short supply in the country, such as printers and computers. Can you help?
We are asking our representative on the ground what would be helpful.
It is not too late to be a part of the delegation.
Flights are still only £480.00 direct to Zimbabwe
Helping to build the delegation
Not all members will be able to find the time off from their work on the plantation to attend this important conference.
We recommend, where there are four are five members who wish to help one from among them to attend, that they try and pool their resources to fund one.
GAC is committee to ensure, that at no time, will any Afrikan be turned away from any of our meetings, because of money.
Events in the run up to Harare
We are also hoping to organize a number of events running up to the conference, including a fund raising dinner mid September 2006.
We will be holding some public meetings in order to address the issue of the blockade on Zimbabweand how to break it.
Keep you eyes out for events, text, emails and fax.
Helping with Funds
Global Afrikan Congress uk are currently paying the salaries for two months, July and August, of a part time Worker in Zimbabwe who is doing the ground work in preparation for the conference.
An advance delegations of GAC Officers and Activists will be joining her a week or so before the conference
Anyone who can join us in this part of the work would be extremely welcome.
In the meantime, our Comrades in Zimbabwe would welcome news of any information on how we here in the west are supporting their struggle, which after all is our struggle. If you have any views or good wishes you would like to send ahead of you or the delegation, please email them to me.
Delegation.
So far we have 10 delegates from across europe
Membership Fee.
At the moment, all new membership fee and donations goes toward covering the cost of the part time work in Zimbabwe.
We have very little fund and none at all to help other delegates who need our help just to put the fare together to attend.
The first member’s membership renewal is not due till the 1[suP]st[/suP] November.
However, it would be of immense help towards our effectiveness if members would pay their membership fee just two months before they are due, even if you have just recently joined GAC, in order to help provide money towards the Bi annual Conference and helping delegates.
