Iknow the definition and what it' s supposed to do....
Iask, in practical terms..., when would it be necessary to have the suite as opposed to the anti virus.......I mean lot of anti virs programs have firewalls, and block spam and spyware as well...
under which circumstances would you recommend an entire internet protection suite versus the standard anti virus software..

I would install an all-in-onesuite if my virus protection had been expired for a few weeks/monthsand my pc's performance is degrading. The bundles are more comprehensive.

An example would be if you have more than 256MB of RAM and your pc is opening and closing programs like email or IE Explorer very slow.Or if you are experiencing alot of system lock ups where a programstop responding.

In most cases a standard virus protection alone will not beenough to correct all of the problems that are wrong with the pc. There aresome good utility sofware bundles out there that will help optimizeyour pc's performance andallow programs tolaunch faster. And provide sufficient virus protection.

Go to Compusa and buy autility bundle. There are alot ofrebates righ now on utility programs. Below are two of the most popular Norton SystemWorks and Spysweeper. I personally use Spysweeper and Window Washer. I use Mcafee for my virus and firewall in addition to the firewall provided by my ISP.
