Surprised no one has been talking about the lastest games on here 2 2s.Wanna get back into my gaming for a bit might shop about a bit.

Whats Gears of war and Halo 3 saying?... prefer the more realistic 1st person shooters, more stratigic, get hit once and you're out kind of thing. Badass at army games trust, Delta force was wickedness when it was out.

Anyone got any blueray games?

I think 'BLACK' at the moment qualifies as PS2's best 1st person shooter game. the US Army US navy seals games are good but they dissapoint after you've been built up by all the hype. they only seem to sell on graphics. And i can't see all the fuss about HALO but then again i havent played it

Black sounds intresting, bet its one of those multi hits games, like the military or strategic games because they're more realistic. Get hit once and your out, Metal Gear was a good one.

Black and Killzone are more or less unanimously (albiet unofficialy) agreed to be the two most powerful shooters for the PS2 i havent played the Ghost Recon US Navy seals type games but they seem to be heavily influenced by the Metal Gear Solid series.

Black's weakpoints RE no multiplayer options, the sheer difficulty of the game and the fact you cannot save/reload from the most recent checkpoint, you simply have to start the level again. Level 8 is particularly DIFFICULT, however on completion of the game you get to start the game again with silver weapons carying infinite bullet. The main motivation is to complete the game on hard and restart with an M16+M203 grenade launcher with infinite ammo.

Killzone, i think this is a well designed game, the main campaign isnt particularly challenging,however it does have the battlefields mode where you player can be engrossed in Deatmatch,Team deathmatch(the best),Defend and Destroy and Domination(the best also) among other things.If you are into war /1st oersonshooter games then this is for you.

I think someone needs to develop a combination of Killzone,San andreas and Battlefield 2. e.g. to stave of an invasionof Berlin/Earth ;command whole platoons/companies/squadrons with a multitude of others online.

No because the PS3 isn't doing the business right now. The console is dying on it's arse in Japan, and not exactly flying off the shelf elsewhere, hence the recent price cut.

Call of Duty 4 looks like the next big thing, out November sometime, and if you like realism, then try Rainbow Six Vegas.


Halo 3 is ok, but I only play it online.

Gears of War is not to shabby either, but the PC version coming out soon is better, and longer.


Halflife 2 Orange Box is out next week or this I forget, worth getting, basically it's 5 games in 1.

Don't like the Vegas version of Rainbow 6, played a few of their other versions forget the last one but it was good. Gears of war looks like my type of game... Max Payne was good as well thinking about it.

What happened to all those Mech games they used to have out... With the robots and all that? Those were the best, and no one is making shoot em' up racing games anymore by the looks of it either.

Interstate 76 was one of the best games I've played yet.
