I've just got rid of my T-Mobile contract after 3G (the company) called and offered me 1100 ''units'' to use as either texts or minutes, 300 free to three minutes and the net for £5 extra a month, they put T-Mobile to shame although T-Moobile is a more professional company their deals just don't cut it so I've switched.

Problem is I was using a Vario II PDA with T-Mobile, could have upgraded to the Vario III (kicks ass, just a bit too heavy) but yeah... 3G gave me this plastic sony erricson toy phone that thinks its a music player or something, its crap for sufing the net with as the screen is tiny so I want to get the 3G chip into the Vario II...

Is this possible?

3G have all these certificates for their programs but it should work as the Vario is a 3rd gen phone (I think) and isn't GSM (I think).

Was wondering if anyone had any expertise in thie field. Can't be without a PDA in this dayt and age, its just not right.

This is a PDA, not some megre mobile, its a mini computer that runs on a windows OS, excel, word, internet and its a phone.

Costs £45 to get it unlocked not prepared to fork that type of moolah out and not have the chip work. The unlocking asian said it wouldn't but I think shes wrong, it should work.

Might have to call the manufactures.

Everyone should have a PDA by now, its where the industry is going. Can do everything on them, play music, go on the net etc. Going to be difficult going back to a standard mobile but I might have to until I can afford an unlocked PDA...

HTC's are looking crisp at the moment;

MDA vario III isn't looking like its up to much... too heavy. That was it up there in that article, titled it MDA vario II for some reason but its not.
