Hi BNV
who has a nintendo wii and what games are the best
does it feel like a work out and is it child friendly. i noticed the big brain game is on the wii and that is aimed at age 3
do you get a workout from it or is that still a gimmick
is the wii worth the purchase and what games work best
amazon selling for £179 might treat myself come my draw in mi pardner

LadyDay,
My brother just received his WII system two weeks ago. We play various games on. I like to play the bowling on there. Initially, I thought that it wasn't going to be that realistic, but after playing it for myself, it made me feel that I was in an actual bowling alley.
I'll tell you something else about the WII. You can dowload older games on there for a price and you can look at some news clips on there. For a system that sophisticated, I think it's worth the money. I was expecting for it to cost a lot more .

We got the WII and bought the sports mix. My brother has the olympics. Both are very good fun and brings the family/friends together. I played the tennis game and worked up a sweat because I really got into it. However, you can still be a coach potato and play it but I don't think it is as fun.
As games go, I like it for the fact that it has games that every one can join in either by playing it or the entertainment factor of watching someone play.

Bought Wii Play because i needed an extra control and it is as good as the sports game. Mario Party 8 is great for the kids has loads of games on it.
If you get into it you can work up a sweat esp with the boxing.

Not into Computer games at all. But my son brought his around. Played tennis, baseball, punched out the boxer worked up a sweat. Now that it is not here, I miss it like an old friend.

The Wii is beyond worth it. its one of the best things my husband and i have bought. We Sports is great, as someone else said bowling is great but i also like boxing and golf. My favourite game at the moment id Guitaer Hero 3, not particulalry into all of the songs, but its really fun to pretend your a rockstar for a bit. We have dinner/Wii nights regularly as the Wii's great for when you have friends around. We do bowling and other Wii competitions. I'm getting MarioKart this weekend and am planning on getting Wii Fit and the Ski-ing one. Get your Wii from Game as you can sign up for their loyalty card which is great because you end up saving money if you buy a lot of games and also you can trade in old games you're bored of for new ones. For example Mariokart is about £60 but if you trade in 2 old games your're done with, they'll give it to you for £10.
