A friend of mine gave me a bar of African Black Soap with the Shea-Butter.
It smelled pretty good but it was a little too thick andcreamy for me.
I work hard and sweat a lot and don't need soap that clogs up my pores with oil and grease because I'm subject to getting acne.
These type of moisture bars are mostly good for women who don't sweat a lot, most men shouldn't use them.
Am I my brother\'s keeper?
YES I AM

I recently order some from the net from a beauty supply company called www.goldenmartbeautysupply.com. and the price is really good or at least I think so. I live in Japan and it only took 6 days to get to me so you might want to give them a try. Just what is it good for? How did you hear about it? I also got the Black Cream for my face cause I have a lot of acne scars, do you think this will help to get rid of them. I've tried a lot of other things so I'm gonna give this a try now. Holla back

I wanna hear some info from people who actually use it because I heard it's God send to people with blemish/acne problems.

I have been using African Black Soap for several years...maybe 7 or so. For my body, I have used the original Dudu Osun (Nigerian) soap for my entire body. I have never felt cleaner than with this soap, as it never leaves a residue as all other soaps (including Dove, Ivory, etc.).
However, due to the lemon juice in Dudu Osun, what treats my face the best is actually Ghanaian soap. Used in conjunction with Shea butter, it smooths the complexion the best of all African soaps I have used.
There are several kinds of African black soap, out of Togo, Ghana, Nigeria, and other places. Most of them are just ok...they are soap, IMO. The Nigerian soap (Dudu Osun) seems the most cleansing with the natural detergents of lemon juice and palm kernel. However, I may be mistaken, but I think it is cocoa ash that seems to be the trick in the particular Ghanaian soap I use on my face (and sometimes my body).
I can testify to the fact that it has improved my skin appearance very much. I don't have the best-looking skin now, but natural skin care has certainly made significant and noticeable improvements for me amongst my friends and family.

The real black soap that ive used it from ghana....the soft brown texture soap.......all that dudu osun crap is nasty dried up ingredients....if you want fresh soap then buy the real deal. real black soap does not stain either like that dudu osun soap.
Another one they sell in brixton is a brand called village fresh!! it comes in a white tub and it scented with different choices to choose from..its a very soft soap so go and look for it in them hair shops, this soap has a real soft texture like play dough but it does not stain and feels great when used.

I wish I had access to Ghana's soap (with cocoa ash) when I was a teenager. That stuff works excellent on the face. Then you can even cycle that with African Black Soap Facial Scrub made by Nubian Heritage. The Ghana soap is what helped my complexion when I was like 20 years old. I am 27 now, so it has a 7-year testament for me. The Nubian Heritage facial scrub is an added plus to clear up skin although it may not be necessary depending on your skin sensitivity. I have had friends whom it worked wonderfully for, then there are others who are sensitive to salicylic acid so it irritated their skin.

I see....i think Shemsi's recommendations is the best....my boyfriend also uses it and he swears by it. He gets it from Brixton market.....i will ask him where he buys it....even i use it sometimes and the feeling is just amazing. The smell is hardly the pretiest, but it's not that bad either.
Just a tip on the side....please do get him to drink MORE water....i am called a fish for the amount of water i drink, but i can testify that it has been a major factor in helping me clear my face and back spots. Good luck though....i can't believe you are raising a teenager..well done sis.
