My body has been transformed over the years from a skinny boyish girl to a now voluptious and curvecious female. The transformation was nice at some point but as time elapsed, I have taken on varying proportions. There is a track near the house and I could have taken on to jogging but I am one of these lazy ones. I do inhouse exercises like sit-ups, pressups, bumtightening but the weight is taking its merry time and I am now seeking the next best thing-Detox. Detox has sevral myths attached to it but basically it aims at cleansing the body of impurities. It is either Detox or embarking on a starvation spree for two weeks (eating little or nothing but drinking alot) until I can fit into some of my lovely clothes. Detoxification has its merits it has been used to treat alcholism, addiction, mindand the injestion of unhealthy foods. The body is exposed to pollution/pollutants on a daily basis so there is a need for detoxing every now then. There are several detox plans although some are more extreme and have had after effects. A good detox plan will promote a creation and or rejuvenation of body cells. The minuses include headaches, malaise, constipation, diarrherrea and lethargy. It is normally recommended to carry out a 10 day detox with a first three day trial.

"Theinitial phase of Detoxis called catabolism,it involves the elimination or breaking down of tissue. This is the body’s way of beginning to clean house – in short, to remove the garbage deposited in all the tissues. Waste materials will be discarded more rapidly than new tissue can be made from the new food and nutrients being supplied to the body. Other symptoms may also persist for a while, and then the second phase, or stabilization will begin.

During the second stage, the amount of waste material being discarded on a daily basis will be more equal to the amount of tissue that is being formed and replaced by newer, higher quality foods. This should occur after an excess of material in the tissues has been eliminated. This phase will persist for a while before being followed by a third phase, a period called anabolism. At this point, most of the wastes will have been discarded."

Some of the symptoms of Detox can be discomforting but it is advised to sleep well, increase intake of fruits and vegetables , reduce intake of carbonated drinks and increase intake of water. It should be noted that some Detox plans though helpful in cleansing the body may not neccessarily lead to weight loss.

Are you overindulging your body or are you treating it with care?

Recommended-PurePlan can be got from Boots, Superdrug or Holland and Barrett
