Man, I tell you, they sure are determined to get people to go for this 3 in 1 vaccine (the same one the PM did not want for his own children). From 467 to 4891 cases in a year. That sounds like an epidemic alright.
You know I have asked a few people around me (5 so far) if they know if anyone who has had mumps in the last year. They all said no. I myself know of no cases. Unlike chicken pots. I know of 3 cases in the last year....but then we are not talking about chicken pots are we?
Do any posters know of any cases of mumps in the last year? How many?
With an increase like the one reported I would expect there to be quite a few people on here who know of some cases.
What about Measels and Ruebella? Does anyone know of any cases of those? The report spoke about the massive increase in Mumps cases but nothing about the other 2 which are comprised in the MMR vaccine. If the report is correct then it is not triple vaccine they should be pushing but a single one for mumps.
I remember as kid having mumps and how, as with a number of other illinesses it was one which my parents wanted their children to have in order to have a natural immunity. It was not uncommon to put children in the company of other children who had a certain illness (chicken pox is a common one) in order for them to catch it. But then again, trying to build a natural resistance to certain conditions is not as commercially viable as sticking needles in people filled with concoctions that purport to protect them from deseases they have the same chance of getting with or without a vaccination.
Respect
There are those who feel that the only way to ‘prove their own worth’ is by ‘devaluing the worth of others’. You will often find that a man who is compelled to measure his substance against the substance of another, has little of substance in the first place!
