Well done Soulstarr. Keep up the good work.
As for me I started two weeks ago. Couldn't attend two sessions last week due to a bad cold, so I trained at home.
The cold's over now so I'm ready to resume my weights and cardio programme as from tomorrow (Mon)..

Thanks MPC at my weekly weigh in on saturday, i'd lost another 3lbs banana.gif
I joined the gym last week too. Been really enjoying it so far. I've been to a few classes and deffinatly feel better for doing somethingn active finally. I have an appointment to have a personal program set. Thinking of saving towards a personal trainer... maybe!
Speaking of which, how much do they generally tend to charge? (i'm guessing thats a question for bp )

Just changed gyms. Now I'm at Fitness first in Tottenham. Nice little place to go and work out. Every session consists of 40 mins cardio and working with weights with different body parts every other day.
Keep going and don't give up people...

prices vary each deal is done on its own merit
each deal is done on its own merit...but Ive never gone lower then 25 quid a session...afterall most PTs are payin rent to the gym they work from.

Only the best is good enough....

I havent found any for anywhere near £25! Theyve all been upwards of £35 so asumed maybe 40 was the average. Andwho, I'll stick to a personaliased work out for now. I'm at the gym waiting for my appt right now as it happens. Got an abs class straight after. Pray for me people! I did the class for the first time last week and my poor stomach muscles were wrecked for days! Talk about feeling the burn!

Virgin Active. Its not cheap but I absolutly love it. The guy that did my programme was excellent- and hes a level 3 personal trainor too! The only problem is that at that gym, you have to pay the full fee for all sessions before they start. So if i were to go for the 24 session package like I wanted too, I'd have to come up with over £1000 all in one go. i was really hoping to be able to spread the cost (even he said it was a stupid system). Its a shame cos i really would have hired him.

Ah well, maybe they'll change it. Even so, i've got a really good personal programme set now and i have to see him again in 4 weeks time to get it reviewed.

Nice one Soulstarr and to everyone else who working out . Keep up the good work.
As for me I now started to increase my cardio workouts.
e.g 10 mins Rower, 20 mins on treadmill, 20 mins on the cross trainer and then 20 mins on the bike.
afterwards I would then go and do my free weights on the various body parts.
I wonder if anyone here could tell me if this is too much cardio to do on a regular basis?
My intentions are to lose some body fat and get lean with some definition.

I'm taking my cross trainer seriously
i was really slacking but turns out hubs uses it more than i do
Anyway i i pushed myself to 5 mins - i had to break my pain threshold because my thighs feel serious pain
i am also doing mr motivator blt
im working out a plan so i know what i should be doing
i introduced a gym ball and sometimes use light weights when doing the upper body conditionig with mr motivator
what pushed me to get off my a@@ was i bought some scales and found i needed to lose more as i gained more than i thought

Think outside of the box...Think in spirit
Act as if it were impossible to fail!!!
