Any good suggestions?

Squats..one of the best ones is to lean against the wall and be in a squat position like you sort of sitting on a chair for a couple of minutes do this a few times daily.
A good run round the neighborhood also helps doesn't have to be long distance

^^^ what he said but do it slow and hold the low position for a while. not too low or you'll be resting on your ankles instead of supporting with thighs. Slow!

Skipping is good not only for blood but calves and wrist/forearms and do step ups on your stairs for a bit. If you live in flats run up down the stairs. Swimming also good but then swimming is good for everything lol

'Skipping around' as children do is a good form of leg exercise. From a personal perspective. But if your an adult and enjoy a level of social comfort around your peers, I would not recommend it to you because we both know what the 'outcome' would be.

If you are going to do squats, especially against a wall, then use a medium sized exercise ball. It ensures that the spine is kept in the correct position. The ball should be in the small of the back and always below the neck line.

Also for the calf, allow the same ball to fall to the ground. Stand with your legs against the ball and slowly walk the ball backwards into the wall. Just enough to create pressure between you and the ball, to a point where it feels like the ball wants to ping you across the room.. Now stand up on your tip toes, and repeat (10x-20x). You need to maintain an upright posture and do the tip-toes stuff at the same time.

And for the upper thighs, ball against the wall and on the floor, just lean back, lean back as far as your confidence will let you.. The upper thighs will start to tingle the further you lean back and support yourself. Hold for about 10s - 20s.

Try googling 'bodysquats'. Very useful exercise which really works you out.
