Default The OFFICIAL 2008 workout thread!!....its about that time again! - 02-01-08, 04:30 PM

Anyone here planning to workout/working out for the 2008?

did my first workout of the new year today infact first workout since me car accident early december

man Ive got some weight to shed as I really did pig out during christmas as Im not the type to eat foot and not gain weight ( a blessing and a curse) done triceps n biceps today. felt ok and good to know the power is still there despite being off the gym for a month

starting a new thing for this year in order to try and HALF my bodyfat % (27) in 3 months. early workout and evening cardio 5days a week (swimming thursday) rest weekends as im self employed now I should be able to fit everything into the day and still have time for family matters.

so whos in? whos workin out how long you been doin workin out and do you have any tips/hints to share with others on the board?

Can only devote enough time for running and calisthenics.

I run hills.....do pullups ,dips and push ups with weight vest.....sets of just bodyweight, 20 lbs, and then 40 lbs.



Just drink water and juice......eliminated soda,etc



i've done the gym thing.....just too time consuming.....

Mr resident BNV fitness instructer....

A problem I'm going to trini soon...and i need a belly flattening programme that will work in approx 20 days... any idea?

Ps..any butt firming ideas will be welcomed as i plan to wear my thong too...

make sure you take nuff shots of them trini cuties for me... god I wish I was there

anyway apart from surgery they aint no 20day perfect ab plan

however my cousin who a few years older than is in great shape despite never picking up a weight in his life....like DtotheJ he keeps it simple running pushups situps and pullups and he is ripped to the bone...another lucky sod

although not a miracle cure take half hour out of your steamy sex sessions at night to do some crunches...shiiit if the missus complains find a way to work it into your freaky time... along with your thong.

the diet/fitness industry tries to trick people into thinking that there is some miracle cure or quick fix...

spot reduction is virtually impossible.....you can't reduce the waist size,leg size,etc...you can lose weight....but no guarantee where it will be most visible....

best thing is to do some sort of exercise on a regular basis....even if it's only once a week..... stying in shape is WAY easier than trying to get back in shape...

In the meantime though......eliminate some of the stuff you're eating that's not good for you and find a healthier replacement ......and increase the amount of fiber you consume...... that will be good way to jump start a fitness routine..

count me in. but i still have 5 wks to wait before i can begin. as baby is only 1wk old and your meant to wait 6wks when you have your docs appointment.

i want to see significant change within 3 months. i have a cross trainer and mr motivator soca aerobics plus tae bo dvd's. i wish to utilise them. but also need some tips and tricks for pulling in stomach muscles. my belly is almost what it was pre-pregnancy as many say i dont look like i have just given birth,

my diet not sure how i will go about that as i am breastfeeding and may require extra calories to supplement that, but if i dont let me know

but yes count me in in 5 weeks time.......

@kunjufu .... a baldy in a thong in t&t.......mmmm such the tourist. but yes work on that saggy booty

heres a couple of my simple tips for those who aint in the know

I tend to stick by these although I do a simple wash out for number 6

1. Layoff alcohol (social drinking is fine lol lol)
2. Layoff any type of smoking
3. Drink 100% Juices and drink lots of water, drink tea ( tea contains more antioxidants than juice)
4. Layoff fried foods and ground beef
5. Supply yourself with a few excellent multi-vitamin supplements and herbs that benefit the cardiovascular system such as hawthorne berry and ginko biloba
6. Obtain a good herbal colon cleanse and use it 3-4 times a year to remove those parasites in your body [MANY PEOPLE SLEEP ON THIS]
7. Layoff Soda
8. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies and drink V8 juice if you don't get enough in your foods
9. Run 3X a week 2-3 miles is fine
10. Lift weights 3 times a week
11. Minimize your sugar intake especially if your BMI IS high
12. Eat yogurt

You gonna wear some pum pum shorts aswell? And a bra top, and walk on the beach with a flower stuck on ur bald head?

so cmon now is this really the amount of BN peeps that take fitness seriously??

do you know in this day n age EVERBODY is supposed to do at least 30mins exercise a day....how many people here do that? I try to (although I didnt today)
