No would not go near a Google search for anything...I just read your links. Besides I'm a Mancs so had already heard your story.

I have to ask though, how did you end up here on BN?

I read somewhere that England and America had the worst health-care system in the Developed West as far as "costs and coverage" are concerned.

Here in America, people work all their lives to own property and buy houses, and if they get sick and have to go into a nursing home...NO INSURANCE covers it!

They either have to pay over $4,000 a month out of their pockets, or have all their property, houses, cars, ect... confiscated or liened by the governments...screw their children's rights.

I haven't been sick by God's grace, but I know the system all too well from personal experiences.

Right, so you saw the article in the MEN, OK...

Might be more to come yet, I have to attend an appeal Monday at 2pm in Bolton, but I'm told {if I need telling} that they will simply go through the motions and still refuse to pay for me or ANYONE {make that any MEN} in Bolton to have this latest treatment. The PCT {think Area Heath Authority} prefers to save money and risk lives, we are expendable, there's always another grows in out place, and they like to show the NHS how frugal they are, so that they can give themselves a big fat raise at the end of the year.

I know what a shower of shite they are, and thinking along those lines I've organised a muck spreader to be there in front of their offices in Silverwell Street in Bolton at 1pm on Monday, and I intend to show the world what a shower of shite really looks like !

As for BN, well my buddy Henry lurks around here, tells me a bit of what goes on, and saw the original post about me {being some rich bloke} that's what brought me in here, it was Henry's fault, grin...

Hope no one gets on the wrong end of this, but Henry has been a life long buddy to me, I don't see a black man when I see Henry, I see me mate... best mate I've ever had !

Here's a thought about Health Care, you're right that we don't spend enough {where it's needed}, too much on folks who aren't at the sharp end, and not enough on Nurses, Dr's {maybe}cleaners and other support staff.

But... this is one for many of you to think about, black men have a much higher incidence of prostate cancer, it kills them in droves, they are more prone to it tha anyone else, by a long way.

If you've turned 45 then get your Dr to do the PSA test {a simple blood test} so that if you have a problem you can catch it in time, let it sneak up on you for a few years and it will bury you.

I'd appreciate it if you all would cc everyone on your mailing lists with the above advisory, no one should lose their life due to ignorance.
