I was in Birmingham at the weekend attending a festival called 'Families Agaisnt Violence' held in Victoria Square. The aim of the day was to raise awareness of the senseless gun crime that is wiping out our youth, celebrate those who had lost their lives to this plaque and promote peace and positivity through music. Whilst there I met a lady calle Caroline Bailey, she asked me to sign a petition, then she told me her story. This is it...Michael Bailey, a 24yr old black man from Birmingham died in his police cells about 10 weeks ago. He allegdely exposed certain police officers corruption pertaining to drugs and drug trafficking. His mother strongly believes that this is the reason he died. The police say he was found in his cells and he hadhung himself. An inquest is being carried out into his death headed by Clare Short at the demand of his family. 18 police officers have been put onto the case. But Michaels body cannot be put to rest until the guilty police officers have been rooted out and charged....You can support Caroline and the many other mothers and families who have been affected by this byvisiting the following sites:

After speaking to this extremly strong and brave woman, I promised to bring her struggle back to Manchester and publicise it as much as possible. Ive decided to post it here aswell because this does not just happen in Birmingham,it happens all over the UK and indeed, the world.
