I know you can ask me the same thing about Bush....but England is different.
I give the Europeanscredit for being much more informed, more intelligent, not as easily manipulated, and holding their leaders to account for what they do and don't do.
Americans have apparently become to dumb-down and cowardly to do that....and it's our fault.
But after this wimp mislead your country into a war you had no business in on false evidence and is now inviting terror, destruction, and bloodshed to your own front yard after over a decade of relative peace from any political strife.....I would expect more outrage at his admistration.
I've seen report of people cursing him to his face and massive protests against him.
I've even seen effigies of him portrayed as dog or as Bush's little biitch so obviously he's not respected by the general public now.
Now he's on stage with all this same"they want to take our freedoms" "terrorism will not succeed" propaganda that they're pushing overhere and dragging your country down the same road the neocons are dragging America down.
I even hear ENGLAND has passed some anti-terror laws and has their own version of the PATRIOT act.
What's the game plan?
Is the U.K. just gonna follow him on into a British version of this never ending "War on Terror"?
Where we kill up a bunch of them and they kill up a bunch of us, then we get even angier and kill up more of them....so they can kill up some more of us.
As a Muslim, I condemn the bombing and killing of innocent men women and children, but it seems to me that most of it could have been nipped in the bud if the British public would have tossed out Blair and the rest of his cronies for dragging England into a fight that didn't even concern them.

First thing. We can't underestimate that grinning guy. He is a survivor and a badman trust me. He has stood up against petrol crisis which halted the nation, massively unpopular war, various battles within his own party, and so on. He always comes out on top... grinning. I don't get it myself but there you go. Blair is an experienced politician who knows what he is about.
Second thing. If you watch him in the house of commons he isa man without peer. It is his house and has been for a while. Mentioned this in another thread a while back but nobody comes close to him on head to heads and people usually end up looking silly. A top performer.
Thirdly. The opposition. URGH!!! Michael Howard has the image of a vampire from an old quotation from one of his own party members. Also even though it has been 8 years since the Conservative party left power, nobody will easily forget the 18 years they were in it and especially the last few years, full of sleaze, corruption etc etc
The labour gov wins elections by scaring people in to saving themselves from that conservative nonsense again. It IS a trick which is wearing thing but due to the poor shape of the conservatives, it still works. Michael Howard announced at the last election he would step down to allow his party to choose a new leader ASAP. Months later he is still in control and they still do not even have candidates.... A complete mess.
Here is the thing Gordon Brown is widely tipped to be Blairs successor and it is written and spoken about like it is a done thing. Brown will be our next PM and that is that apparently...
Im not sure that the big dour Scotsman could win an election on his own though. He doesn't have the grin for one... actually being serious, he is still looked upon with suspicion as a socialist and being "old labour". Not too sure myself. He is the longest serving chancellor and is supposedly a good one, if one ignores the massive borowing and debt incured. I don't think big business trusts him with the reins of the nation though.
That thing of the weak, and I really mean it, weak opposition should enable him to do as predicted and become our next PM though. It will only happen when Blair decides to be magnanimous and step down himself. The labour party is split into factions, Brownites and Blairites and they only work together to "keep the Tories out"...
Bollocks to politics Ommar!!

You know I thought England's labor party was similar to our NDP, you know advocating social security, clean environment and workers rights. And more "left" or liberal when it comes to foreign policy and war ie opposed to war

See that's how shit gets started.
Regardless as to whether or not this bombing was the act of Muslims or some covert act by the government....
Many people already hate Muslims for various reason, but the more these "terrorist" incidents occur, the more the public is gonna turn anti-Islamic, even black people.
The more they become anti-Islamic the more they'll tolerate the government killing Muslims in foreign lands.....
The more they kill Muslims abroad the more those Muslims will seek revenge and kill Westerners.
Which will make them more hated.
Pretty soon it won't matter whether or not they were justified in defending themselves nor will the public ever be suspicious of who is really behind so-called acts of terrorism because all Muslims willlook like murders.
