If their is a warrant for your arrest then the person should be arrested and if it is a joke ting then mitigating circumstances will dictate that its gets thrown out

There was one guy who was being held on $250,000dollar bail. Not quite the equivalent of an ASBO. lol

If there were warrants out for these people, they should have been picked up in their own communities before the hurricane hit.

This is another way in which racists are able to manipulate perfectly legal statues against Black people. This is a hurricane relief effort, not a bunch of crabs in the barrel for cops to pick through and see which ones they want. It's amazing that they are suddenly so conscientious after a hurricane hits a predominantly Afrikan area, yet after 9/11 we find out that the alleged terrorists HAD WARRANTS TOO and were supposed to be under surveillance. Interesting who they chose to arrest.

I would also be remiss in neglecting to point out that this is a way a blaming the victim. Look, these people are a bunch of criminals, they didn't DESERVE any help and they were too DANGEROUS for us to get assistance to them. That's the game these fascists are playing now.

Yep! that is the frightening thing about it.I would be for these background check onlyif I could trust it , but I don't. I'm afraid that doing this will only lead to more racial strife. I think about how many people come in/out of states everyday who could be criminals. Do they background checks with these guys everytime they come? I think not.

I am sure these people should have been picked up before the hurricane.Call me stupid, but something tells me that these CRIMINALS probably weren't falling all over themselves trying to turn themselves at the police station when the storm hit.
