But, supposing someone actually stepped up and DID something, say, the USA, for example, then they would be decried as "interfering in the politics of another country," "spreading western capitalism," "attacking Islam," etc. etc.
So, people shriek and howl and criticize when someone steps up, then shriek and howl and criticize when no one does anything.
I support the U.S. action in Iraq. I wish there were fare more countries stepping up to do something to combat terrorism and set the victims thereof free.
So, yes, it is less than a perfect job . But, better than what the rest of the world was doing to change Iraq. Granted, France, Germany, Russia, and whoever else was/is/will ever continue to sell weapons to whatever terrorists will buy them, so that was a large part of their contribution to the situation in that country.
It is like criticizing someone for setting a bunch of preteen girls free from a brothel when/because you are one of the primary customers thereof. Does no one ever notice that the people who do the least complain the most, or are part of the problem?
