Now over looking that the two women were strippers/occasional escorts, does that make this crime any less heinous? NO! I hate to see black men go to jail even if they did commit a crime, just like I hate to see my sistas done badly even if there profession may not be as respectful or lacking decency and integrity. :X Mind you these white boys did this all the while hurling racial slurs at them during the act.

March 27, 2006 — Forty-six players of the No. 2 ranked Duke University lacrosse team have submitted DNA samples to police amid allegations of sexual assault at an off-campus party during spring break.

Police are investigating the claim of a woman who says she was raped, beaten and strangled at an East Campus party hosted by the Duke lacrosse team on March 13. According to a search warrant, the woman was hired to perform as an exotic dancer for a small gathering, but she and her companion dancer found themselves surrounded by dozens of men while performing in the master bedroom.

The women began to leave and chose to return only after one of the suspects came out to their car and apologized. The women said they were immediately separated when they returned to the house. The alleged rape victim said she was pulled into the bathroom and told, "Sweetheart, you cannot leave."

According to the warrant, the woman later called police from a nearby grocery store.

In a statement, Duke University President Richard H. Brodhead said: "Physical coercion and sexual assault are unacceptable in any setting and have no place at Duke. The criminal allegations against three members of our men's lacrosse team, if verified, will warrant very serious penalties."

All but one member of the lacrosse team submitted DNA samples, but according to a search warrant obtained by ABC's WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, Durham police are interested in only three men. No charges have yet been filed, but police have promised to "expedite" the DNA samples, according to Susan Kauffman, of Duke University's Public Affairs office.

The last member of the lacrosse team was not asked to submit a DNA sample because he was African-American and the alleged victim said the perpetrators of the crime were white.


Season Disrupted

The scandal has shaken the decorated lacrosse team during the height of its season. The university has already forfeited two games in response to the ongoing investigations, including Tuesday's game against Mount St. Mary's.

Its been all over the Fox News channel. But you can expect this story to fall out the headlines quickly like they always seem to do any stories concerning black being mistreated. Now if this was 2 white girls vs. a NCAA final four b-ball team the story would have made headline news around the world....sheeeeet.

This story is absolutely outrageous. Just reading it makes me picture myself in a room surrounded by drunk white boys ....the last place any women would want to be. I can only imagine just how scared they were. But at the same time, what in the world were they thinking, stripping inaroom full of whitemen?! Everyone knows how white folksget when they've had a bit of alchohol and these guys probably were drinking , no doubt. Also, if the guys started hurling racial slurs when they first got there, then why, for f**k's sake would they go back?! They should have left the first time and never came back. While i still feel extreme sympathy for the girl's plight i cant help but point out their blatant stupidity.

Just because those guyz were white now its a race-thing, this shiit could happen if those two girls white or black are dancing sexually, even in the mix of a gang or group of MEN or BOYZ...(black or white)

If these girls were at work,school etc, this would not have happen, you people are just focusing on the fact that she is black .

These events happen every year on college campuses across America.....college guys hire strippers and allegations of assault occur.....



A few years ago....5 black scholar athletes at St. John's were acused of rape by a white woman.....they were arrested.....and questioned..the ONLY thing that got them off was that one of them had a cell phone with video camera feature which had FOOTAGE of the prostitute discussing prices and talkingcalmly about sexual acts......and her walking around from room to room to service the men.....not against her will.....

she was arrested before for soliciation but in the town in happened..all the cops seme dowant to beleive was that black guys raped a white woman....they didn't receive same beneift of the doubt that these scholar athletes at Duke got....
