John Hall raped women and tried to snatch girls off the street while serving as a prison officer at various jails, including the high-security Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire.

The twice-married 35-year-old was found guilty of raping the women at an earlier trial, which could not be reported for legal reasons .

Today, the reporting ban was lifted and Hall appeared at Leeds Crown Court to admit further sex attacks including kidnapping, attempted kidnapping and indecent assaults, one on a girl aged 12.

Sentencing at Leeds Crown Court, Mr Justice Goldring said that Hall had not yet begun to face up to his crimes.

He was charged with attacks on five women, including a prostitute and a 17-year-old girl he picked up while driving through Leeds.
Other victims included a 19-year-old he met following a football match, while another was a young doctor who stayed at his flat after a night out.
Julian Goose QC, prosecuting, told the jury Hall had been a prison officer since he was 20-year-old, serving at Wakefield, Full Sutton, near York, and at Wetherby.
