Is it me or does anyone else think this whole things seems a little "hhmmm Idunnoish"

I mean, someone who has been bought to justice for crimesAmerica knew has been committed years before because America themselves were turning a blind eye to it.

The so obvious backlash of executing someone so prominent and still very popular and supported in kuwait despite the portrayal in the media. Now causing more killings and upheaval which is going to carry on for the foreseable future....and

The video submission to the internet of apparently Saddam being hanged being PUT ON THE INTERNET for ALL to see!?!?! Canthey not see the effect of what THAT alone will do to everyone!?!?!

Of course they bloodywellcan!!

This is all bollocks!!

Please don't go die and you regret it! Stand for something for you and YOU and yours!

I agree with you Kunjufu. The very publickilling of Sadaam is a massive signalfor any people who dare raise their voice against the United States. At this moment in history, we cant beat the west on from agaitating on the outside, wecan only win by joining the system and wrecking it from within. The problem of course is that the system is extremely clever, with a hundred ways of sifting out any it senses is a danger. But I am afraid to say that the man or woman inside is our only hope.

I expect that the next ones of George Bush's list include:

Mugabeand Mbeki

Castro and possibly Col Gadaffi

The Leaders of Iran and Syria

He wouldn't dare attack the north korea because of their fear of china, which is armed to the teeth. The Americans know that the lost the vietnam war because of china. They are not that stupid.

Notice the British government unlike Bush et al has not said a word and they can't find anybody in the Foreign Office according to the Daily Telegraph to comment. Why work it out for yourself, this execuation had no legal or moral basis...Every thing about it was driven by the US and according to their timetable.

No matter what type of criminal somebody is and Saddam is that at least when you sabotage due moral or legal process whatever you think you are acheiving is weakened from the off which will not serve US interest in that region.

The whole thing was morally repugnant from the get go.

man i saw wholeexecution of saddam and i can understand the Arabic a littlebit. Those guys where just taking the piss outta him and just ridiculing the man at his final hour. he was saying his last prayer and he did even get the chance to finish it, because they opened the trap door...let him hang for 10 minutes. i was stunned at the level of disrespect they gave him...it felt weird to actual feel sorry for him at that moment.

…and you think the Iraqi people got justice? America is drinking Iraqi oil faster than animals at the water hole.

Well ive got some Saddam T-shirts if anyone wants one.

They're a bit tight round the neck but they hang well.......

They supplied arms to him to bomb Iran, they invade his country killing innnocents in the name of freedom, thencollaborate with an inhumane method of punishment.

The whole Saddam episode is symbolic for one thing. That America's evil lives on..............

that video footage looks like a melee to me, not an execution. it was in fact a lynching no different from those... ahem! i can understand there were a lot of people who were in a hurry to see him dead, butpresure from within and withoutthe regime to expediously and publicly get rid of him even though his being alive is vital to much needed and ongoing"truth, justice and reconciliation" efforts... of course there were those who wanted revenge. Saddam had crushed many a man's balls during his rule, and many were hungry for revenge. I also know there werethose who became increasinglyfearful ofwhat he increasingly symbolized on the ground, and not in the media where everything is absurdly twisted: hence what we clearly witnessed;victor's justice where the victor is barely hanging on, if not for the...i guess this is why the throng exuded so much low self esteem, more than the man being hanged?! just wondering whether this will balance things out for them.

strange how a legitimate hanging is done by hooded individuals. and what's that about Moqtada (sp)? has anyone heard what he has to say about the hanging himself, in his own words. i am intrigued to learn his interpretation of what transpired in that place. i bet you he is as miffed, and probably as disgusted as most people are, which is why few will give him airtime.

question now is who were those people who hanged Saddam? who are they in actual fact? we know they are with the government, but are they Kurds masquerading as Moqtada loyalists to fuel sectarian violence, to hurry Iraq into civil war? i know many people want this to happen, doesn't only have to be the Kurds. in fact i am aware this is the plan, was the plan from the get go. that country has to go back to the 14th century. this is an imperative for some parties.

another thing: that was the real Saddam. his looks is what happens to you when you are a hated prisoner inthat prison. his denture has deteriorated considerably, but he still holds his jaw and twists his lips in the same way the real Saddam would. chances of a double doing it as well as the real person, for so long on camera are slim.

Now some questions that they need to answer:

[*]Who is responsible for the timing of this execution, and why the haste?

[*]The crime for which Saddam has been sentenced to death is horrific, but not the most horrific of all those of which he has been accused. Does his execution for a lesser crime absolve him of legal responsibility for the greater crimes for which he will remain untried?

[*]After his death, who will be held responsible for the genocidal death of thousands of Iraqis under Saddam's rule, now that he can no longer stand trial? Will his accomplices be brought to justice? Under what legal system?

[*]Will Saddam's execution for a lesser crime mean that the complicity of foreign countries in enabling his atrocities will never have to face court scrutiny?

[*]How does the court proceeding under which he has been tried and executed further the truth and reconciliation necessary for Iraq's survival?

You hit the nail on the head with these poignant questions. The only reason for this speedy execution and negligence to the higher crimes is that the names of the current occupiers would have to be brought into court as the accessories to the very murder accused of Saddam. The U.S. knew full well the purpose of the chemical/biological weapons they gave to Saddam and who he planned to use it on. He was our man in the Middle East, and we were ok with him until he decided to stop being a puppet of the U.S.

If you'll take a little time and google all the photos of Saddam while he was President of Iraq.Notice how perfect his teeth are. You'll also notice he never wore a beard. Now take a close look at the man we all see on TV.Take a good look at his teeth. If you open your mind you'll see that the person we see on TV is only a fake.Your teeth don't change shape and size. That's why we use it in forensic to identify people. The man who was hanged this morning had a lot of dental problems from a lifetime of bad dental hygiene. If you'll take a little time and use science it's very easy to see that this man was a fake.Have any of you taken the time to notice this? You just might learn something.
