I know what I saw
Gravity is still the law
You knocked an unarmed man down with a billystick
He did not resist
But you continued to hit
You did not see what you thought
You are not to think what you are not taught
Your history depends on me
Your present is what I determine it to be
I saw it with my own eyes
Even if I was blind
Can a video lie?
What is it about white men with guns?
Guess the uniform excuses you for what youve done
Law and order is what we are about
So why shouldnt we get the benefit of the doubt?
You people sound like you dont mind crime
Stay in your neighborhood, stay out of mine
Better yet, you should be in jail
If you respect the law, I sure cant tell
You ride around our neighborhood like its a plantation
Let us patrol yours
That would be equality in the making
Safe is not how you make us feel
Not when you beat us and then sound shrill
It all looks unfair to me
But I guess its not injustice I should see
For you are the illusionists
You can make wrong seem right
Go ahead, beat another black man
All is fair in hindsight
