Your right about the phones. As a man what you got to mind for though is that if they get bright and try to take the phone/ or try to get physical and you hold your ground and then they escalate it into a confrontation ..arrest you for obstruction or assault and you defeat the object. Because I can see easy how Toyin could of ended up in this position. May be wrong but thats where my money is.

Still its got to be done. The way I would negate that is go across the road and just film them. Then nobody can say your obstructing jack.

BT to be honest got no idea at the moment what we are going to come up with, but the youth we train on a programme asked for it. Protocols can apply to anyone, not necessarily those being stopped but those passing by and observing in knowing what to do in a given situation..The police cannot control more than a very small number of people..Look how in the US they have been busted so many times by members of the public, who draw out the video camera and film them and they don't have a clue. Trying to grab someone's camera can be quickly turned into an offence of assault eg the cop tried to assault me or you which others can witness and forces them to lose control over a situation which is what we want..Take power away from them and to us..

Police officer have no right or power in law to seize or attempt to seize your camera and if they do we can make a political public issue and push them on the defence, because we know some will try, but we can outmanoeuvre them Two cops can't take away three cameras or more or whatever..

Let me give you an an example of how you can take control from the police and remember its all about control and using and abusing their legal authority to maintain it..So its a game they know the rules you don't.. Was driving through Stamford Hill North London and saw one of these Ministry of Transport officers with a police officer doing people for car tax etc..They had this young sister who to be honest was not helping herself, with the emotion and noise and going hyper waving arms, and i knew any second now they going to arrest her because these white men frighten like cowards even a teenage girl we would not even blink on getting hyper and they getting jumpy.

I am sure she did not have the proper tax or whatever, but when i see the beast try to grab her waving arms and the other pussy hole Ministry of Transport going on like he is police and trying to hold the sister..I just jam on my breaks and block all the traffic dead. The MOT guy came across to me like he is police man and told me to move on. Got out my car and told him 'Fxxxk Off..Think i don't know his powers and where they end..If he had those powers they would not need a cop with them right..Because he aint got those powers and trying to front lke he has.. I just locked my car doors automatically so nobody can move it..

The only person who has that authority was the copper struggling with the young sister..So fool fool boy has to get the cop..Behind me were nuff black man in cars and some Nigerian elders (who must be in the church) in a van who could not move because i was blocking the road. They came out about four of them and they went straight to the cop struggling with the young sister and start to give them grief, then other brothers just came out from their vehicles and pure pandemonium..They had no control over anything we had the control. The MOT came over to me to maintain control but as i knew he had no authority and told him to kiss out the whole thing went pear shaped.If the more police came and try to come it with me. I will say straight i thought is saw two men assaulting a young girl and even if i did not I will lie straight and let them put that in their report and lets go to court with that. I suggest nothing would happen to me for being a good citizen trying to observe two men assaulting a young woman..And what i will pay the fine if worse comes to worse.. But the point is we won that confrontatio because the elders intervened and calmed everything down and to be honest that sister was lucky not end up in a meat wagon.

Same principle. Just a couple of people who have knowledge and confidence can basically take the game away from the beast. I was trying to keep people updated during the night , but my parents were on the internet all night.


During Kool Breezes show "Another Reality" on Flames 102.8FM, which runs from 1am-7am, there were people who were present at Shoreditch Police Station, who were ringing in during the show, and updating people about what was happening with Toyin .

One guy rang in at around 3am told listeners the following

• Toyin was given one call to his wife, and he rang her telling her how his knees where bleeding from the police assult
• There was a bit of a fracus at the police station because memeber of the community who came to support Toyin were told that they were not allowed to film what was going on
• Brother Hakim called in a Solicitor to help Toyin
• There was another boy who was with the youth who was arrested (the car driver), and he was released , yet the other youth was still banged up

The same caller updated us again at 3.42am

He gave us some more details;

• During the youths altercation with the police, Toyin asked the youth whether he wanted him to phone someone on his behalf.
• Toyin made a call on behalf of the youth, and the police interpreted this as him interfering with the investigation.
• The police then attacked Toyin, by pushing him to the ground, and then claimed he was resisting arrest.
• At this point they were told they had to wait at least another 3 hours
• They were trying to claim that the boy had swallowed drugs, which he contested.
• It seems they were trying to get the boy done for drugs, and Toyin for interferring
• When the boys mother arrived at the station the boy apparently made her aware that the police were trying to accuse him of swallowing drugs, and had beaten him up badly

Thats all I got at the time.

JJ...The police said people were not allowed to film the arrest..Really what law is that...Look The police amended Codes of Practice is too thick for me to outline here..But let me tell you this...You can film what the raas you like and what is the implicit assumption that the police are doing something right or wrong..because trust me they will seek permission or confiscate film which supports their shit..

In fact one of the political moves which Toyin may raise and might even contact them myself and put it to them is to force the Superintended Leroy Logan to clarify the law on the matter which I know what is is..You can film what you like..Remember an arrest is not a presumption of guilt or innocence.So what is it that you cannot film..Only a court of law can tell you what you can film or not not some working class semi illiterate cop who thinks he is more smarter than you or us...
