Long-serving paramedic David Wright committed an appalling betrayal of trust when he stole from two patients.

The 50-year-old has been warned by Judge Abbas Mithani he could be jailed for up to 15 months for his crimes.

Wright, an ambulanceman for 24 years, had denied stealing £40 from 76-year-old James Blank but changed his plea to guilty yesterday.
