Britain's first remote control police aircraft, dubbed the "spy drone", took to the skies today.The unmanned CCTV drone, which measures only a metre wide, is fitted with the latest in CCTV cameras and can record images from a height of 500m.
It was originally designed for military reconnaissance but is being used in a trial by Merseyside police to monitor public disorder, large crowds and traffic congestion. The force will also be looking at how the drone could be used during firearms operations and in efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Looks like the system has become totally *paranoid* about everything and will do anything to protect it`s "stolen" treasures .

My prediction , PECKHAM , BRIXTON , HACKNEY AND OTHER AREAS WHERE LARGE AMOUNTS OF AFRICAN PEOPLE LIVE WILL SURELY HAVE PLENTY OF THESE CRAFTS AVAILABLE , FLYING AROUND , all they need now is a few guns fitted to them .

I just saw this on TV..and I was thinking exactly the same thing......this country is getting out of hand.....televised drones is going too far, way too far..

On hearing this story this could be the tip of the iceberg.

It just seems that this is just the beginning of the erosion of civil liberties in this country for anyone going about their daily business.
