Tiredly switched on TV and caught this idiot Swaran Singh:

a consultant based in Birmingham ( I pity those black people in Birmingham that come across this guy) and another black woman probably married to a white man talking fart. The fart, in essences, is that they believe the high proportion of blacks in the mental health system has nothing to do with racism. The two seemed embolden by the result of a supposed research by the Institute of Psychiatry in London – here is link if you can be bothered to read the full article;

If not then below is in essence what the research amounted. The two probably had a hand in the ridiculous research.

But in the last few months, research by the Institute of Psychiatry in London has turned the argument (institutional racism in mental health) on its head. The largest-ever study of psychosis tested the theory that psychiatrists wittingly or unwittingly allowed their clinical judgment to be influenced by the colour of their patients' skin.

Researchers removed the ethnicity of a patient from their notes and asked a doctor to assess them. What they found was that psychosis was still diagnosed nine times more often in black people from the Caribbean - almost exactly the same rate as their presence within mental health services.



I had to laugh louder than LOL when I heard the above reiterated on the news as proof that there was no institutional racism. Just a cursory look and already I see flaws. Now the majority of black, white and Asian people in this country articulate differently and without difficulty, in most cases, it should be possible to differentiate between white Asian and black writing. Here is a crude example I made up:

The stupid Asian then went on to state- in explanation for why so many blacks are in UK mental system - that wherever in the world you go, immigrants always seem to constitute a higher percentage of mental health needs problem than the indigenes of that country. If that is the case, I found myself asking, why isn’t there an equal or higher percentage of Asian in Uk mental institutes.





Boy I hate Asians of the brown skin verity.





Could it be, I wonder, if an African in consultation said that he was having financial problems and burned herbs to keep the witch who was bothering him at bay, someone like Mr. Swaran Singh would recommend immediate institutionalization...


...but if an Indian said the he was having financial problems and gave the marble statue of a cow in his house milk to drink in appeasement of ancestors, someone like Swaran Singh would put it down to cultural perceptive and send him to one of those many “Asians in need� type organizations funded by the government at taxpayers expenses.
