In light of us becoming Afro-British over the next few decades or so how viable is it to have a (free) book or booklet detailing what is going on exactly. At the moment most people/youths out there are lost as to what is happening, some knowing that we are oppressed but as conniving as the europeans ''racist'' capitalist structure is they can't see the oppression to better avoid and articulate their position leadingpeople to bicker amongst themselves stuck in the same mode they are trying to escape.
What I have noticed with a lot of the youths out there is that (most) aren't bad in that sence... they aren't stupid either. Most of them reach a point (as I did) where they become socially aware and responciblebut can't make the change nessary because they don't know where to start. As I made my (on going) transition from being a, *lost kid with no direction, respect and knowledge of selfetc* ( *Swapfor ''Street thug'') it was as though there was no where to go.Most Africans have rites of passage for this age I'm sure but for those youths out there that don't want to get drawn into criminality and want to escape the ghetto (of bothmind and location) theres nothing there.
Have been talking to a few who were trouble makers not so long ago and they're starting businesses (multi level marketing), one of them works for a bank and recently got promoted talking about hustling on the money market, currency trends and so on...
''The guy sat there yeah, and he made £80 in like 10 minutes with this program man! I was like wow, its proper stressful yeah but once you get into it!...''
The only thing is that in trying to snap out of it a lot of them get with euopeans as they aren't sure what to change into, taking up european cultural values thinking them better than our own.
Drifting off topic .lol.
Anyway, would it work tocirculate informationdetailing the current mode of oppression? What companies and peopleare doing what in our homelands, what groups and leaders are taking action, what HAS been done, how to join said groups, what companies ARE black owned and what a collective ideaology can do to help change our situation (the problem with buy black programs is thatpeople buy from their ownbut don't see the return, its pointless if those businesses aren't pooling their worth to better the community). I'm talking about everything that effects us as a community so we can avoid the pitfalls in becoming, lord have mercy,Black British/european. If we are to fall into being so we can at least be smart about it, heck, wehave to be smart about it.
Was watching a video about South America and the oppression out there and it was surprising how clued up the people were, from the farmers to labour workers they all knew and conserened themselves with what was going on... at the momentI think we're conserned but divided as to what is happening and how to combat it... all the while still buying from Cadburys and so on.
All in all we need to tool up people, the same info could be translated and made relevant for brothas and sistas in the rest of europe.Think the African Americans have their own thing going on.
Would even be good to start a thread detailing what is going on, the empasis is on exactly naming and shaming people and politicians, companies, government policy, why is the queen stil head of state in Jamaica and what it means, weapons sales, current events, the fight for repirations, miseducation, sucess storiesand so on.
Hitting 'em where it hurts.
Opinions?
