No point-scoring in US elections at Pakistan’s expense, says Kasuri

* Azeem accuses Barack Obama of ‘sheer ignorance’
* Owais Ghani says attack threats undermine Pakistan’s fight against terrorists

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri on Thursday termed US presidential candidate Barack Obama’s statement on attacking Al Qaeda targets in Pakistan “irresponsible”, and said that point-scoring in the US elections at Pakistan’s cost would be detrimental to the interests of Pakistan and USA

this was a desperate attempt to throw off his liberal image ( TALKING TO AMERICAS ENEMIES) and seem tuff on terrorism ( or whatever) ....

truth of the matter is that obama will except the complexities of politics once he’s in office...this is just lip service to the rabid 24 news media.....

after all American troops are already operating in Pakistan’s remote areas already ...

I agree with this. The thing is, this is the stance of every democratic candidate. No one disagrees with the substance but a this point Obama has been painted as incompetent and inexperienced so everyone is taking things he says as naive even if theyre very good ideas. After he made this comment his numbers tanked even further.
