Wow,Geeezus!! he put it down! I swear I almost shed a tear at one point.
To be honest I think he's actually too good for the role of President, I do think Obama is an uncommon man whatever his shortcomings and i'm really not one to be easily seduced, but the bottom line is I do respect him.

I dunno, coz i'm not in the States I dunno how much the American people are working themselves up into a lather about Rev Wrights sermons,if I know the American press like I thinkI do,they'll have that shit on loop,24/7 be interesting to see what happens from here.
Personally i'm excited about the prospect of McCain choosing Condoleeza as his running mate should Bam get the nom,it will be political theatre the likes of which this planet has never seen, lol.

The other stuff I said about the clever way of playing the race card both ways, and distancing Obama from traditional civil rights leaders and BRISTLING at having even compared to one, like Jesse Jackson after he won South Carolina, are all things that his campaign CLEARLY did. BTW. That was not speculation I was WATCHING AND LISTENING to what his campaign people were doing. I'm not the only one who noticed it, either.....

Auntie, it is not about Obama trying to distance himself from Africans. The issue was the Clinton's tendecy to race bait us. That is what made us remember the other racial insults associated with the Clintons. They started it. And, yes people, that is people with self-respect got annoyed about it.
Actauly, that was not the first insult. The first insult was to claim that Obama was not an African. Imagine! They tried to divide us along Africans in America and Africans in Africa and the rest of the world. They attempted to divide dark skin Africans from brown skin Africans the same way that thery have been doing in Sudan these past few months. All intelligent Africans noticed the divide and conquor tricks. Then, thay tried to divide us between middle class and working class. This is why I insist that both Clintons are die-hard racists. I have known this for a long time. But, since the campaign started there has been a more or less constant stream of divide and conquor tactics directed against our community. Of course, the trick of setting the sisters against the brothers is an old one by now. And, Hilary, not to mention Geraldine Ferraro et al, are experts in such tricks.
In any case, we now see that Brother Barack is actually more of a hard line African than either Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. His brand of Christianity is what is known as Black Liberation Theology whereas Jackson and Sharpton is a much more cautious and compromising brand of Christianity, a Christianity that appeals to zionists and white racists.
I will concede that maybe you are just too blind with self-hatred to have seen this from the beginning. This would explain your constant attacks against Obama. But now, I have tried to break it down into terms that even you can understand. From now on, you have no excuses.

I got your Auntie, you Arab dick sucker. You and Obama-ites started with the racial browbeating and haranguing BEFORE the campaign even got going good. One of the first people I ever heard MENTION idea that AA's didn't think Obama was "Black" enough, or spoke too articulately was a Black Brit from THIS Board, BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN even GOT STARTED good. I'd bet any amount of money that it was Obama campaign people who floated those kinds of stories, as a way of manipulating the Black vote and signaling his "safeness" to white voters, at the same time.

What are you talking about, the Clintons didn't start that shit, OBAMA supporters like the idiots on this Board who started threads about how AA's weren't going to support him because he was descended from a Continental African, cause he was half white, cause he spoke articulately, , started that, WAY before any primaries were even held, and way before Bill or Hillary Clinton were saying jacksh*t. Remember, Hillary was LEADING WITH BLACKS IN THE POLLS UP UNTIL THE SC PRIMARY. She and Bill didn't have to say anything before that.
Sisters against the brothers???Really????, listen you lying sack of shit, I REMEMBER clearly YOU doing a whole post about how WHITE WOMEN WERE TOO SMART TO VOTE IN CONTRAST TO THEIR MEN AND BLACK WOMEN WERE TO DUMB TO VOTE IN CONCERT WITH THEIR MEN(AGAIN, THIS WAS BEFORE ANY PRIMARIES HAD BEEN HELD AND WAS PART AND PARCEL OF THE BROWBEATING AND MANIPULATION I ALLUDED TO EARLIER). When ACTUAL primaries WERE HELD and exit polls showed CONSISTENTLY that Black women and Black men voted EXACTLY THE SAME percentage wise for Obama(Black women even a little more in one of the contests), and that it was WHITE WOMEN WHO DIVERGED FROM WHITE MEN IN VOTING PATTERNS JUST LIKE I TOLD YOUR DUMB ASS WOULD HAPPEN BECAUSE THE TERM GENDER GAP WAS COINED BECAUSE OF WHITE WOMEN, YOUR BLACK ASS DID NOT COME BACK HERE AND DISAVOW THE IGNORANT SHIT/SLANDER YOU SPEWED HERE. And got the nerve to come pop shit about being concerned about "brothers getting played against sisters"You are a lying, disingenous scumbag.
I don't know that we know that for sure, but even if we do, that was never my concern or beef with him, which is why i went out of my way to never characterize him as a Tom. My concern was HOW MUCH OF THAT WAS GOING TO BE GIVEN UP TO GET TO WHERE HE WANTED TO GET TO, OR HOW MUCH OF THAT WAS TAKEN ON BECAUSE IT HELPED HIM GET TO WHERE HE WAS TRYING TO GET TO, AT A EARLIER POINT IN HIS CAREER.
I will concede that maybe you are just too blind with self-hatred to have seen this from the beginning. This would explain your constant attacks against Obama. But now, I have tried to break it down into terms that even you can understand. From now on, you have no excuses.

Again, ARab nut sack rider, I haven't been CONSTANTLY attacking him. I can pinpoint the date that I started to attack him, or more accurately his campaign, and it was some time within the last month and half. This thread is WAY older, than a month and a half. I saw PLENTY from the beginning, including the fact that you are an ARab apologist and only are interested in African well being when it lays down with Arab/Muslim interests.

More than likely you are right, his goose is cooked,( I think McCAin was gonna win anyway, and said so before this controversy), and that is why the stance he took in his speech was not as brave as some of the more politcally naive here, think it was.
You can pretty much break whites in this country down into 3 groups. The 1st group is the liberal, "I get orgasms from assuaging my white guilt and proving how non racist I am" group like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, etc. That group was going to vote for him and still WILL, even WITH the Rev. Wright controversy. As long as Obama denounced the COMMENTS(which he did a week ago), they are good.
The second group is whites who were NEVER going to vote for him in the first place. I don't care how much they said they were, I don't care how much smoke they blew up Black folks asses, it wasn't gonna happen.
The 3rd group is comprised of those in the middle of those 2 extremes. THey have trepidation/hesitancy about voting for a BLack person, but can possibly be convinced to vote for one who they deem is "safe" enough. It's this group that most of the campaign "signalling" is done for, btw.
If Obama had come out in that speech yesterday and said in addition to denouncing the comments Rev.WRight made, I'm denouncing and repudiating him, and leaving the church,(cause remember the comments WRight made, were getting cheers and applause from the congregation), the only group that he could have netted any possible benefit from among whites, would have been the 3rd group. Anybody who knows anything about the white psyche,(and Obama's campaign manager Axelrod knows PLENTY about it), knows that his chances of getting anyone in that 3rd group who was already hesitant and on on the fence, and were totally offended and outraged by WRight's comments to Decide to VOTE for Obama, just because he threw WRight under the bus AFTER being pressured to, cause his campaign is about to be derailed, WERE SLIM AND NONE. Bill Oreilly basically summed it up. He basically said I think he SHOULD denounce/repudiate Wright, but if he does I won't respect him and I still wouldn't trust him or vote for him.
That's pretty much is what he is dealing with. The next question would have been so why did you wait 20 years to do it? Why did you only decide to do it when there was some political consequence? It's kind of like some mobster pressuring to give up your friend or your family member by making you think they''l spare your life if you do, but kill you if you don't, but in reality they are going to kill you EITHER WAY,LOL. Smart folks would button their lip in that instance and take their losses, since the conclusion is most assuredly a forgone one. Dumb or naive folks would actually think they have a chance of getting out of that situation alive, and start throwing folks under the bus.
He had more to LOSE by throwing Wright under the bus at this late stage,(namely the Black vote), than he could have possibly hoped to gain with the white folks in that 3rd group(cause the other 2 groups of whites weren't in play, anyway), who would have viewed the move as disingenous and politically motivated, not sincere or an indication of having any REAL problem with WRight's sentiments. Just by being associated with someone like WRight, enough doubt has been placed in the minds of that category of white person to cause them to error on the side of NOT voting for him. I understand that logic, TOTALLY, cause it's the same logic I use when evaluating a Black candidate, except it's in the opposite direction. That btw, is why Axlerod and company were trying SO hard to not have Obama associate with anyone or anything that would place that doubt in white folks minds. It's just ironic that it wasn't Jackson, Sharpton, or Farrakhan,or any other except for Farrakhan, SAFE BLack leadership (who if ya'll don't think that campaign was concerned about keeping at arm's length, I've got some swampland I'd like to sell you) that torpedoed his chances in all likelihood, it was someone from his own personal circle, who makes Sharpton and Jackson look like the SAFE leadership they are, except in WHITE FOLKS eyes, of course.

Easy now G, easy now. But I expected the above from you, Defiance, Defiance, and Defiance laden with fighting and insulting language. It kinda reminds me of Dick Cheney just this afternoon. Cheney was still blubbering about how the war in Iraq was the right thing and how it actually helped the Economy. I guessed there is no Redemption of other people because somehow they think that Admitting they were wrong will be seen as a sign of Weakness.
Lets agree to move on and I mean it and I am serious about it this time. You fought a good but misguided war like the war in Iraq but you are entitled to it, albeit I wish I was here from the very beginning. There will be plenty of subjects where we will agree and I am sure there will be plenty more subjects to disagree about. In the meantime lets chill and drink some kool- aid, maybe some Obama Kool aid.

And another thing. It's kinda ironic that here in America, the words "Uncle" and "Auntie" are used as deragotary words. In the part of Africa I hail from and in many parts of Africa, the Words "Uncle" and "Aunt" are used to bestow a Title of Respect. Only Elderly people with influence get the title of Uncle and Great Aunt, kinda like being called a Chief or person of Wisdom.

This is where I want to clarify. You are closer to my position than Obama is. Obama seems to want to blame the mess in the Palestinian lands as the fault of Islam. Of course, that is absurd. Both sides will have to make some changes and adjustments to find a solution. Otherwise, I think the Arabs will basically destroy Israel. So, it is Israel's best interest to accept paece as soon as possible. Each day that goes by the Arabs become stronger against Israel. I know Obama cannot get too hard on Israel during the election. But, it will help Israel in the long run if he kick them into line now in the short run.
I will fight zionism as a matter of principle and international law. But, I do not hate Jews. Jews come from Africa just as Arabs and Muslims come from Africa. Ideally, we will find a good and positive relationship with both Jews and Muslims and Arabs. But, if the zionist refuse the offer of peace, I will help defend the innocent civilians, men, women and children who are Palestinmians regardless of their religions. In other words, I will help defend a Palestinian Christian as strongly as I will help defend a Palestinain Muslim. For me, the issue is justice and fair play and peace. Race and ethnicity do not much interest me. All I really care about in the final analysis is African Unity. Jews and Arabs are welcome in such Unity, as far as I am concerned.

Look UNCLE HASSAN, you have a track record of being an ARab apologist, that was evident WAY before this Obama campaign, to anyone whose head wasn't up their behind.

I adjust my language so that it is in complete accordance with what I think of the person I'm speaking to. I find YOU to be foul and unbecoming, therefore.............BTW, using profanity is not the only way to be insulting and disrespectful, a person can be quite insulting and disresectful and NEVER utter a curse word, but I'm sure you know that. So save the " I can't believe you talk like that" drivel for someone who is buying your bullsh*T. You have YOUR way of belittling and disrespecting, and I have MINE,lol. Deals......

I don't need to read your NEW and improved position on this. I've read PLENTY about your stance on Islam and ARabs. "I got a file on your style, that's why you caught a clip" as Sadat X of Brand Nubian once rapped, lol. I know that you will shift positions and say anything if it suits your purposes. You've done it numerous times, within this thread alone.......
@VK, the terms Auntie and Uncle are used as terms of respect here, TOO, among AA's, particularly in the South. However, back during slavery, whites would refer to old Black women who were loyal to their families as Aunties an Old Black men who were loyal to them and had been with them for a long time as Uncle, like Uncle Tom, Uncle Ben, Uncle Remus. Becasue of that ,the terms can also be used as insults coming from one AA to another one, and that's the way Uncle Habib, intended it, when he used it, and I responded in kind......
BTW, I'll be back to respond to your other post about me being defiant and having supposedly been proven wrong about something. Hardly.........

This thread is comical to say the least. You Folks had me on the Floor rolling with laughter at all this Back and Forth Name calling; Uncle Hassan, Uncle Habib, Auntie G, etec, etc.
But I did have a nice time through out this entire debate that is why I never was really that serious about this thread; neither cared too much to read all that was posted.
