Lost art of secret voting: CAUCUS.370pnb
As I entered the room about 715 pm last night, I was asked to sign in and indicated which caucus I was going to join. I stop here and will try to explain my reasoning of why secrect voing has been destroyed by a new word, CAUCUS.
The art of voting is nothing real new. I have voted at least 100 times during my life time. But not until recently I was not sure what this new way of representing ones candidate is really a downfall. A caucus is a meeting of the local members of a political party especially to select delegates to a convention or register preferences for candidates running for office.
Now lets make sure we got the word vote right, is in which each person's choice is secret by the totaled votes are public elections. When the polls open on Election Day, every citizen over the age of 18 will be able to cast a vote. It is a right we take for granted, one that defines our nation as a democracy.
With this in mind what do you see wrong? So Why than is it that we needed a caucus? This a new method of determining how you voted publicly? So what happen to the secrect vote of mine, where every john, jose, maria, mary now how I voted. It’s sad that our election process and its bull shitter have put more of a burden on individuals voter’s now having to disclose who they have voted for.
Now it would be real easy to say well if you want to pay you have to pay. But why even have a caucus, can we not determined a winner already based on how we individually vote and the existing system? No.
Look you can’t tell me that the present system already has a build in way to determine on how you already vote. My god next you go vote and sign in notice that you signed in on a sheet with numbers and that machine or paper ballot might just have a corresponding number on it already, you see.
So the success of having an election an then asking folks who voted secret to come back and determine another vote. But as a caucus! Hejola.
Remember the old saying should I go or shall I stay , will be in the thoughts of many still wondering if its worth voting secretly.
