occurs to me as big a project as the Olympics gives a government the room it needs to deal "resolutely" with old foes, almost invoking Al Qaeda in the case of the Chinese in the article posted below. loads of you activists are gonna be in post 911 X 2 trouble when the Olympics near here in England, what with the excuses the government is going to use to finally find a reason for harrassing and locking you up.

Will be keeping away from the Olympics that year... not that I follow conspiracies but its the Queens jubilee and the world as we know it is supposed to end in 2012, according to the Mayans and people who follow conspiracy theories.

Wonder what happens when they run out of prophecies? Seems to be an end of times every other few years, would say that the year 2000 one was close though, a year out if you want to call this era of war on ''terrorism'' a different time than the relative peace we had before.

prophecies never seem to fulfill at the exact time, do they? but just like those keen to evangelize, proponents of doomsday theories will always come up with arguments of just why something didn't quite work out as was prophesized. they may say the threat was averted due to successful prayer, sometimes add a figure or two to the previous apocalypse date to make up for some kind of errors in the initial prophecy.

facing facts, we know that the world can end. meteorite strike, nuclear war of the major powers would almost certainly wipe out life on earth. cataclysmic consequences of climatic change can wipe out life as we know it. saying exactly when something like that will happen is definitely conjecture, unless one has the gift to see into the future, and we ignore the question such foresight raises which is that if someone can see things in the future then, logically, it is preordained, bringing our understanding of time as a movement from past to present, into the unknown, yet to occur future in question.

i am a scientific man. i base my arguments in reason. this one about what will happen to a lot of people when the Olympics come to London is not some kind of gifted prediction, but mere looking at the signs of the times to tell what the other party will do under the circumstances. i am simply aware and highlighting a need of the system that will find an efficient means of expression in a given climate.

it has to come to that.

the Olympics will have the same consequence on life as many a third world citizen who simply expresses their disquiet about imperialism has been thrown behind bars in the post 911 world. the Olympics in London, of all places, will provide that opportunity for those who have been calling for the removal of the rights people have left, for the sake of averting some catastrophe caused by terrorism and such, to carry on their agenda in full view of the public, under some guise of public security.

what one has to keep in mind is there are a lot of people walking around whom the government want to lowjack, but they can't do it. here, you have to remember why it becomes necessary to create some scenario like the Washington sniper just to get one guy. there is an over reliance in the west on the tactic of removing those who could lead the rest, as such killing the threat in its tracks, which is the reason i know the west passionately believes every time around that removing Mugabe, Putin, Castro, will change the direction the country is going. this has worked for them to some extent, but the world is changing and the tactic cannot keep working. right now, throwing a lot of people behind bars is just increasing the numbers of those who disagree. thee are good reasons why things have now come to a point when the cut-off-the-head-and-the-body-will-wither tactic is not working.

unless the west is no longer imperialistic by 2012, they will still find it imperative to arrest a lot more people than they have so far, to eliminate a lot of people. they will need to perpetuate fear to achieve this, and an environment of fear is best created when you have an event of such magnitudes about to take place, or taking place. this is the reason they found it necessary to create the whole 911 situation so they could throw a lot of people they were afraid of, they felt could pose a threat to the system behind bars, and make laws that would be considered dictatorial if such a background of fear was not there.

the Chinese rulers have a lot of enemies, obviously, people they rubbed the wrong way, but the problem is they just cannot go about taking out people without eventually even creating rifts in their own party, as humans will remain humans wherever you go, and will react to the threat any dictatorship represents to their well-being in the same way. this is what it amounts to if you do the math. the threat comes back to you and yours. if the Chinese can use the games to this end, then what do you expect the west, that already has thousands of kids, i mean Muslims, dissidents behind bars rotting at gwantanamo bay, military installations around the world, and also in European prisons, to do?
