Tired of their brow beating the chinese, not that they're any better but the chinese have nothing on the west, if anything their growing as a power is a threat to their mode of exploitation hence the brow beating.

Made me laugh hearing two caucasians come into work talking about the evils of china, actually felt to ask them what made these countries any better. Its more of an outlet for them I suppose, wave the finger at someone else to remind themselves what humanity means having lost that understanding a while ago.

At least the chinese way of life doesn't function on genocide as capitalist + consumerism does. Its not deemed as being necessary as it seems to be in the west, race doesn't play a part in it.

Black Lion is... Agu Bu Oji in Igbo, Simba nyeusi in Swahili, the name of a hospital in Addis Adaba the capital of Ethiopia.

Hear what your saying about the usual hypocrisy of Europe and the USA, but we also need to be vigilant when dealing with the rising "powers". If you check out the first link the report that appeared on newsnight, it exposes some off colour Chinese dealings. The amusing element was the highlighting of the five year tax breaks Chinese frims receive in places like Zambia, without explaing that these polices where forced on to Countries by west controlled organisations such as the IFM and world bank through SAPs! At the moment Countries like China are using the "rules" created by the west to continue the expliotation whilst disregarding those rules that are not of benefit, which is what we should have been doing. We can relish the shear panic and discormfort over China and India by the west, but must also take care not to be controlled once more. A panorama programe on this thread:

UN troops 'armed DR Congo rebels'

talks about how certain Countries such as Pakistan are using the cover of UN peacekeeping in The Congo to do deals with rebels and Indian businessmen to smuggle even more natural resources from that Country. We may have a changing of the guard soon, but they still playing the same games, what's interesting is how many "international laws and trade rules will be changed and bent to fit with the wishes of the new "super powers", or how many will change to aid the old super powers stay on top.
