Beggars Belief!!...it could be the old argument why give Africans that resource and help whilst there are black people suffering here in the good old USA...well if they can get off their high horse they would see they have a somwhat better life and a accountable government compared to a lot of kids in parts of Africa through no choice of theirs living under corrupt and at most times violent dictators..

Giving something back to the black community is good and welcome but let's be realistic and logical. Not every rich or successful black person is obligated to give free services to the black community. It is their democratic choice how and where they invest, spend or even blow their hard earned money.

I am just saying...

Maybe he decided to target and attract a 'particular' type of pupils. It is important to build an infrastructure of black pupils from a certain background as it is important to cater for the less fortunate. Celebrities are damn if they do something and damn if they don't.

At least they have a black infrastructure in place that allow them to do all those things... what are the black celebrities in Britain doing?

Melissa, It's not just the fact that other blacks from fortunate backgrounds can send their kids to any school; it's the fact that not many 'black owned' schools have targeted the elite blacks.

I like the link you posted. One in particular on that site is an embarrassment to put it mildly. A few more did nothing but participate in rallies and protest marches - you and I can do that without being in position of power.

Let's be honest here... we have a long way to go and we should not be contended with where black people are today in Britain. There are many areas we are yet to be plentiful in rather than the token few.
