Police car chase death man named
A man who died in police custody after being arrested for going through a red light was named as Oyinloye Francis Alabi Awogboro, an inquest has heard.
Officers chased him in a marked car as he went through a red light in Seven Sisters in north London on Sunday.
Mr Awogboro, 23, from Reculver Road, Bermondsey, south London, finally stopped in Parkside Crescent, Holloway.
He became unwell after being taken to Islington police station. He later died in hospital.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPPC) is investigating the death.
Police said they chased him on foot after Mr Awogboro brought the car to a halt.
Mr Awogboro was given first aid when he fell ill but died soon after.
The post-mortem examination on Monday was inconclusive.
An inquest was opened at St Pancras Coroner's Court and adjourned until July 8.
