This made me sad also.

Poor thing - losing 2 close family members like that. No wonder he was upset!

RIP little one - at least you're with your Mum and Grandad now.

RIP and all that...Call me cold

But this story dosen't make me feel sad...I vaguely heard it on the news this morning, at the time I hadn't realised the child was so young.

But there is something not right about this

Eight years old and your even thinking of suicide!

The death of the granparents happen several months ago and apparently the child was showing no signs of 'issues' during this period (but it could just be that no one noticed)?

My instincts tell me there is something not right about this.

And even if it isn't something 'underhand' then the very fact that an eight year old would attempt to take his own life...Could be in such a dark place that they'd even consider it....

Is not right...

The adults around this child should looking inwards for answers.

You could be right.

One of the things which struck me about this story was the hanging aspect.
I mean at 8 years old that is a very serious and brutal way to take yourself out, also the fact that at 8 he knew about and had this as an option.
I didn't know about hanging and such at 8,guess it just goes to show how much our children are exposed to.

Actually I didin't know he had take his life via hanging.

It definately ain't right.

Ok so if it is inniconent...What the, were his parents doing the last 8yrs, to raise such a disturbed child?

Adults involved with this child need to be looking in themselves for answers.

Well his Mum passed from breast cancer, then his grandfather from prostate cancer.

Look,I know it's not as tragic as a million other things which happen to children, especially African children,everyday....there's just something about the loneliness in this boys mind which made me sad for him.
