Default Every BLACK Uk Politician should be ashamed of themselves today!!! - 12-06-08, 10:21 PM

BBC NEWS | UK

Can you believe that a WHITE TORY MALE POLITICIAN appears to be the only person with balls enough to step up and question this relentless push to criminalise the UK population by stealth... Isn't it simply shameful that neither David Lammy, Diane Abbot, Baroness Amos, Scotland etc etc have not said a peep about a law that will mean that a person can be locked up for 6 weeks without charge or access to counsel.... Especially when you think that as Blacks we will be far more likely to be detained under this so called terrorist Act...

Never in my life time did I imagine that Black and so called socialist would stand idly by and let a Government bring wave after wave of laws that restrict our civil liberties... nor did I imagine that I would need to rely on conservatives to DEFEND our civil rights..am I the only one who is wondering what happened the BLACK voices in the corridors of power?

Too busy thinking about that MBE..beggars belief and lets guess what people are most likely to fall victim to this new ruling??...it could be me or you ..just 3 weeks on my way to work i was stopped by the PoPo..asked me some random questions my date-place of birth-residence and after that gave some some long slip of paper which i carry everywhere just in case it happens again..i was suited and booted so imagine what could happen to those casually dressed...I did voice my opinion that this was a fruitless exercise because the people you after would hardly use this routes....especially in this day of advances in technology ....
I know what the skeptics would say that YT people have that cushion to take that sort of action which is rubbish as AA Congresmen have gone out of their way in regards to issues that encroaches on peoples Civil Liberties

one will need a bigger lie to cover the first one

Yup, especially as we voice what could now be called, ''terroist views''. Its all given them open access on a, 'just in case' basis. Have also had me a run in with a few of them, always feel tempted to post about it on here but it wasn't a plesant experience and they weren't police.

Black Lion is... Agu Bu Oji in Igbo, Simba nyeusi in Swahili, the name of a hospital in Addis Adaba the capital of Ethiopia.

Not sure how she voted in the end, but I know Diane Abbot made a speech against the bill. Don't know much about her parliamentary record but from what I have seen of her, she seems to do a good job (a statement I'm sure I will live to regret).

Sorry Cash but I don't agree, but even if he has..I for one respect his conviction and his balls for taking a stand.. the problem with modern day politics in the UK... is that we have lost conviction politics and politicians... The last ones we had were people like Tony Benn, Micheal Foot, and Bernie Grant ....

The crop of so called BLACK MP's we've got are a load of kiss-me-arses... they might as well be white for all the good they are doing us right now!!!

We're always slagging off politicians for not having any principles, I back David Davis 100%.

The Labour party bought that vote, those Labour mp's that went against their convictions just to save Gordon Brown should be ashamed of themselves.

The state of this country at the moment really upsets me.

A great idea for a thread - what a shame the facts weren't actually checked first ...

Diane Abbott's 42-days speech: The Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP's speech last night was hailed by the Tory who followed her, David Davies, as 'one of the finest speeches I have heard since being elected to the House of Commons'. Here is what she said ... (click for more)

Yeah I caught Diane's speech on BBC parliament. I was impressed and she did indeed represent.

Davis' stance makes no sense. He was at the core of a party that voted the way he wanted to and Cameron was against the bill. What more does he want? Now he can't even take place in the debate. We know the lords will throw it out and it will come back to the commons so by that time Davis won't be there to REALLY count again. This isn't principles, it's silly.
