Unbelievably a Utah company has an Obama Sock Monkey doll for sale online. They said they didn't think it was racist at all. This is the link:

This reminds me of the time I drove with my family to Disneyworld and we pulled up to a gas station in Alabama. In the window of the station were a lineup of black mammy figurines with head rags and the whole nine yards. This country is far from a melting pot but more of a stew. The gulf between cultures was never more evident than how big a deal it was in the media after the Obamas did a fist bump on stage after he went past the delegate count to become the presumptive democratic nominee.

Surely you are not implying that RACISM is alive and kicking in the good ole US of A? The land of the brave where they only see you as AMERICAN?
I mean African AMERICAN, Native AMERICAN, Irish AMERICAN, Italian AMERICAN, Latino AMERICAN.....and so on are phrases which tell you that AMERICA views its people as ONE
To suggest that the colour of Obama's skin is going to become an issue for AMERICAN people as he strives to become leader of that great and wonderful land!........Nah surely not!
