Yes you are right. The US declared war on Iran on March 20, 2008. they did not release it on any of the Major news networks. but if you go to the Asia times you will see the story. or you can simply google Us declares war on Iran.

I believe they new they could not decalre war publically because the us citizens would not have gone for it. so what they did was did and secret war. Hoping Iran would strike one of the us interest giving the US the reason to launch a more broader scale war.

As for your question on how this impacts Obama's candicay. well obama won't be the president. neither will Mccain. George Bush has laws on the Table that gives hime the power to cancel the election and suspend the constitution in case of an attack. This is what they are planning on happening.

Notice all the recent activities going on with Iran. If the US Iran this will lead to WW3. because russia and china will support Iran. they have many investments with Iran.

i don't think that geogre bush will suspend u.s. law cause the deom's won't stand for it....
israel will probably attack iran some time in the next couple of months....i can only hope that obamas visit to the middle east will go off with out any hiccups
