You may want to stay away from sweet boy names like Darnell, Devanteor Tyrese, its not very nice todo that to a boy, also avoid common names like Chantal and Simone for girls are getting just as bad as Shaniqua and Keisha. I know too many.
I like all the original names I've read here, especially the 'village names' LOL!
Its good that we can be proud of our roots and creative at the same time.
Im not so sure that a nameHAS to mean something though, how many of us think about the meaning of our own names in day to day lives? I have friends called Gift andBlessing but Nobody thinks any such thing when they are about. In fact Gift is more like a 'curse' ha ha
My family has a tradition of being named after elders or previous members of the family who may have passed on. Keeping the name alive. I may name my son after my late father I suppose.

nando call it whatever you want to call it, but when you take it to be registered you just remember that my son was called it first lol
drunkmonkey, i agree within a certain degree about the meaning of the name, but me and a friend were searching for baby names the other day and she decided she liked Neave which spelt one way meant "white as snow" but another way meant "powerful woman", so we went with the powerful woman spelling lol

My husband and I plan to start our family when I am 28-31 and he is 30-33. Here are a few names that comes to mind.
Girls: Eve, Michelle, Brooke, Stacey, Jennifer, June, Gabrielle, Antoinette, Kia, Kai,April, Summer.
Boys: Adrian, Julian, Marcus, Steve, Louis, William, Elliott, Rick, Morris, Eli, Adam, Nick.
I am still undecided as to the names I want to call my children the important thing for my hubby is that the first name flows well with the last name.
