Donzwifey,

I remember you! Glad the wedding went ok.

Just think.....this time you'll be holding your very own prince/princess. The time will go fast, so savour every moment. Congratulations!

Mz_Nigeria,

Thanks for the congratulations. I think you must live near me, as I notice you're also a big fan of Nubian Jacks....

All,

Well, 30 weeks tomorrow. Baby was quiet for a few days, but sure has made up for that today! The Braxton icks are getting stronger now, so I'm trying to practice my breathing at the same time. I'm considering parentcraft classes, but Hubby says it's not like I haven't done it before (!). Not sure what to do now.

My nephew was 1 on Saturday, so my brother had a party for him. He wouldn't come anywhere near me! Made people say I was having a boy. I know what I'm having, but I made the mistake of telling my Mum, who proceeded to tell everyone at the party! Mums eh?

There was a woman there who's due in February, and she looks pregnant. Me, I just look like I've eaten a big lunch!!! No wonder I can't get a seat on public transport!

Tiredness is kicking in big time, so I think it's time for shower and bed.

Hopefully LadyDay, Nia & Maat are getting some form of sleep now. Mistriladi, tell your boss where to stick it, or tell him you'll get him done for harrassment if he doesn't back off! Nia, hope baby is settling down well.

Much love

I'm baaaaccckkkkk!!!

Ain't it amazing how you can miss people you don't know IRL?? Ladies how are you all doing?????

I don't know what happened here not read any posts to see! Anyway, whats popping?

Lady Day - How's the little man. Is he sleeping much better. I know all about sleep depravation, hell, what's sleep?? :?

Mz Nigeria - Thanks for the congrats niceone.gif

Donzwifey - Welcome! Congratulations on married life and pregnancy blk2cheers2

Nia - How are you??

Maat - How's your son doing?

Lady Vee - WELL???????

As for me, I have a PRINCE to add to the fold!!! I had a baby boy on 20 Oct, 3 weeks early. I'll give you a quick run down on my birth story.

On Weds night (19 Oct) I was here on the internet chatting away. Glanced at the clock and realised I'd been online so long, time to go catch a bath. Got up and felt wetness. Got all excited as I thought my waters had broken and as I had an emergency c/sec with 1st son I never experienced my water breaking. Alas, it was heavy blood running down my legs. Rang my parents told them to come get me and take me to hospital. Rang the hospital and they said get an abulance and come straight away. Rang 999 and ambulance came. I was booked at The Royal Free in Hamstead but the ambulance took me to North Middlesex as that was nearer. They kept me in for observation overnight and by the next day they decided to do another emergency c/sec as they didn't know the cause of the bleeding. C/sec was very traumatic and took over 3 hours to do (that's a whole different story) Anyway, my son was born and I know I'm biased but the child is absolutly beautiful.

So motherhood the second time around is HARD!!My son is a nocturnal BAT. This child sleeps all day and when night time comes his eyes are wide open. People keep telling me to keep him up during the day but how am I supposed to do that? Plus with an (almost) 3yr old I can hardly sleep during the day!

So that's me. Got my two Princes' and not planning anymore so one of ya'll will have to bring a Princess up in here.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and may God Bless you and your families for 2006 and beyond.

Gotta go, my bat is awakening blktearsJust whenI was gonna look some food to eat!!!

Take care, can't wait to hear from you all.

Congratulations MistriLadi...another boy! He shares the same birthday as my nephew who was born in 2004. Yes, he's a bat also!!!!

I replied in your other thread, but there's no harm in replying here. My one is due today, but there is absolutely no sign of that happening. Methinks it likes squirming inside Mummy too much! Last night the baby woke up at 10pm (normal time!) and proceeded to kick me to death! Hubby tried to catchits feet, ignoring the fact that it hurts!!

I feel like I'm sitting on a melon most of the time. I find it difficult to walk very far. I was actually thinking of going to the Next sale....in the endI really couldn't be bothered. I only left my house yesterday to walk to the corner shop....hadn't left the house at all last week.

The doctor said the baby should be born by this Thursday. I'm not so sure. My daughter was a week late, and my son 2 weeks late!! Why are my kids so lazy in the womb, but when they come out it's a different story????

Anyway, going to have something to eat. Speak soon....

@ Lady Vee AAAHHHH Man, I thought you'd done baked and was coming with news!!! Take it very easy honey. And what do you mean you was going to the Next sale!!???I done popped my baby and I wasn't venturing there andI've got stuff to take back. Because my son was born6lb 5oz and considered small in comparison to my first son my Aunt went and bought me all pre newborn clothes from Next. I wouldn't mind but for the fact she enclosed the receipt and it was dated 19/12 and she had seen me BEFORE that at the baby clinic so she knew full well how big babba was. I reckon she just wanted me to have to go into Next during sale time KNOWING that would piss me off.

I was 2 weeks overdue with my first and had to be induced so I was completly shocked to be early this time.

Oh yeah, was it LadyDay that said the food at her hossie was really good? Please send that Chef to my hospital. If it wasn't for the fact thatI live 5 mins in the car and my family were able to bring my breakfast, lunch and dinner me woudda dead fe hungry! The food was so bad that the woman serving told me SHE herself wouldn't eat it. And please don't let me talk about the staff. It's a good thing I have one bag of mouth because them Midwives were soooo ghetto rude it wasn't real.Plus my mum is a nurse of 30 years and didn't ramp to put there ass in check on day one. And since they wasn't feeding me or tending to me or my baby they proper gotthe sharp end of my mouth. I see no reason forthose midwives to treat the women on the wardlike they're dogs. You would thinkthat us women being there were an inconvienienceto them.Imagine you go into hospital to have a baby which on the whole should be a happy, joyful occassion. The staff were so horrible the women were all walking around with their facespush up and miserable. It was like being in Alcatraz! Thank god I had a single room and my sister brought my telly and radio up. I just shut my door and you wanna see me and my son dancing round the room and singing away. And mercy please, thank you Mr Nokia and Mr Sony Erricson as both my mobiles got bashed out. I can see why if you have it people run to the Portland and pay £10k for c/sections!!

I'm full of chat tonight as my sister has got both my kids soI can catch some sleep and I just had me a nice long glass of wineniceone.gif

Anyway, I'm off to get some well deserved sleep!!

Mistriladi,

What hospital did you have Junior in? I hope it wasn't Mayday..................

Well.......

Yesterday evening I started getting contractions at 6pm. However, they were erratic so I didn't bother going to the hospital - until I went to the toilet and saw blood!

Now, that scared the life out of me. It didn't look like a show at all, so I rang the hospital. I explained all to a midwife, who then put me onto another midwife who said I should come in with my bags. Luckily Hubby was home early for once, so I rang my daughter to look after her brother - only to find she's in bloody Dagenham!!!!

Anyways, good thing we live good with people, as my neighbour's son is very good friends with my boy, so they kept him while my silly daughter made her way down from Essex.

Got to the hospital to find the bleeding had stopped! They strapped me to a monitor where my baby's heartbeat was sounding loud and clear - the midwife even commented she could hear it from the Reception! She said the baby sounded sleepy so she wanted to monitor it more. I said wait until 10pm and, sure enough, Smudge decided to have a party at that time!

Well, contractions stopped, bleeding stopped, Baby body-popping so no point in me staying. However, blood pressure is up so need to get it checked today, only to find Hubby hasn't taken my notes from his car and he's taken the keys to work with him!

So, no Baby yet - no sign of it coming today either. Am now getting fed up with waiting and talk to the bump trying to entice it into the big bad world....

Hopefully next time I post I'll have some news.

Lady Vee

Bloody hell, I KNOW that sight musta scared the hell out of you .

I'm in North London so don't fret it wasn't MayDay hospital.

Just keep baking, Smudge will come when he/she is good and ready. And to tell the truth after hearing about kids being snatched, youths being shot day in day outI wonder what kind of world we're bringing our kids into.

offtopic.gifGoing off topic for a minute, I need to rant about something......

My brothers 2 kids are staying with me for a month as their mum is in Jamaica on holiday. Today was the first day back at school. My kids are nearly 3 and 9 weeks old so I'm not familiar with the school run. So anyways, I drop them both to school. I have to wait with the little one (5 yr old) and see her into her class when the bell rings. WhenI went to collect themfirst I heard the teacher assistant tell one parent that their child had chicken pox and the kid shouldn't be at school. I questioned my neice and she said the girl had spots all over her back, chest and face. I asked my neice did you go near her andshe said no she saw the kid show the teacher!! WTF!! So what happens now, I assume the kid wont be at school butI'm worried about my kids who haven't had chickenpox as yet, hell baba aint even had his jabs yet!!!

The next thing when the teacher opens the door you shout your childs name and they send them out. I called to him my neices name and he sent her out. I said to him it wont be me collecting her tomorrow it'll be my sister and he said dont tell me tell the teacher she'll be back tomorrow. Now to me this is a bit of an unorganised way to let kids go home. Or am I being paranoid? As I said I don't do school runs so this may be the norm and I'm being petty. It got me thinking because my 3yr old is FAST and too damn friendly. He's the kind of child that goes around tesco saying hello to everybody and has big conversations with them. To othershe may seem cute but it is pissing me off because someone could snatch him in an instant. Idon't want to keep telling him off and chastising him for being friendly but at the same time I fear for him. You seriously have to watch him. He starts school in Sept which is near me and one of the best schools in the borough. I'm now thinking to send him to the school oposite my parents house which is not even half as good as my first choice but their security is like fort knox. And to make it worse that "teacher" was the blooming headmaster!!

Rant over. Motherhood is still new to me (particualry as my parents practically have my 3 yr old more than I do) so I worry about all kinds of things.

Mistriladi: I've got children of school age and i have say firstly that the behaviour of the school in not checking who they are releasing the children to is pretty irresponsible and not the norm i have experienced....

Second I really know how you feel about over friendly children..my daughter now 11 was and still very much like that......once she ran up to a strange man walking a dog, was all over the dog and started talking to him as i walked her to school...

I went ballistic....but in truth my advice is to cool it...you just have to keep your cool, and just look at it as long tings...of keep having to reinforce the same message... plus at the end of the day..my view is that you should sanitise the world of children, you have to expose them to an acceptable level of risj in order to help them prepare for life.... It is very easy and I've seen it happen where children get very lazy and refuse to go anywhere unless by car...not good..

My daughter also has a bad habit of stroking strange animals..great when in London..but bloody stupid when you're abroad....
