Good to hear from you, Mistriladi. Glad your two are ok. I don't envy you going back to work - I can't cope with the ratrace anymore. I shall be going into practice very soon - just trying to see if I can get a grant to set up my website. If not, no big deal - Fasthosts is plenty good!

I started weaning Baby Vee last Thursday (couldn't wait until Monday!). Bless him, when I gave him the baby rice he didn't know what to do - just kept it in his mouth! He soon got the hang of it, though. I gave him potato and carrot yesterday. I don't think he's too keen on the carrot!

...sleepy eyed good morning to you all...
Baby Maat will be 9 months next week. I think he'll be crawling soon. He's been managing to push himself onto his belly and shuffle forward somehow. He's also waving and shakes his head side to side when he's excited.
I have to say he's still very happy and smiley most of the time and is eager to move around more with the others and he gets a little bring in with the walker bout he's gliding through the corridor LOL. He gets all angry and screams when he can't get round all corners....but is having fun. The nights are getting easier he's been waking twice at the most which helps...anyway have a good day and hugs to all the babies
How are they doing?

Baby Vee is now 22 weeks and boy, is he making his presence felt!
He now has two teeth through. It took a few weeks of constantly trying him on solids before he'd actually open his mouth for the food but now there's no stopping him. At a barbecue on Wednesday the boy actually took a chicken leg from his Dad's hand and started eating it! He especially loves plaintain with broccoli, or sweet potato, but I'm trying to get him used to plain potato with carrots. I haven't given him any meat yet (apart from the chicken leg!), but as Hubby is a vegetarian I'm not too fussed about it.
He started sitting up a month ago, and now he rolls over and gets around on his back. He's not too keen on being on his front - I think he gets frustrated as he can't get to what he wants quickly enough that way - but he keeps rolling over so he'll have to get used to it!
Although I've changed his feed to the hungry baby formula, he's still waking in the night for a bottle. It is only once though, so I'm hoping he'll sleep through shortly.
Son No 1 has chickenpox at the moment so is at home. The other morning I came out of the shower to hear them talking. I didn't thinkmuch of it as I assumed they were in my bed. No, they were in Son No 1's bed.....BUNK BED, that is!!! My heart nearly stopped when I saw Son No 1, then Baby's head looking down on me! Luckily, he hadn't dropped the baby but I had to tell him that he can't do that as Baby is fragile. I couldn't really tell him off too much though - he dotes on his brother, who adores him.
That said, he really is my pride and joy. I just love seeing his little face light up when he sees his Mummy and his Daddy (he'll be a Daddy's boy when he's older - see how ungrateful they are ).
Maat,
I remember Son No 1 getting frustrated in his walker. He used to pick the thing up and try to barge through doors! Bet it's nice seeing that smile, though.

My one is now drinking 9ozs of milk four times a day, and eating "hard food" (plantain, banana, sweet potato, rice and peas etc) and weighs 17lbs 15ozs as of today. He's 6 months old on Sunday.
Mr Man is BUSY. He's crawling, and wants whatever you have . He really is a handful - today, when I took him to the clinic, he decided to empty his bladder...up the wall, and all over the radio . Lucky they didn't sue me!
He sits up well, and wants to walk now.He drinks his own water from his cup and is trying to feed himself - quite successfully I might add!
Baby is great, although I'm still trying to get him to sleep through the night.....

Baby Day is doing well
he is now 10 months old and crawling fiercely. he hates being left alone by himself. when he is tired he gets clingy but bwo mi tell yuh. ja did him good. he strong. he loves food hard food soft food etc. couldnt handle feeding him as he crawled to explore then picking food up again. so i got him his 3 in 1 winnie the pooh high chair. he has a sound he makes when your taking too long from 8 1/2 months he grab spoon but now he takes the spoon grabs the bowl. gets sooo excited when eating. he loves food and doesnt really drink much milk now. i give him 7 but he will only drink 5-6 ozs.
he stands up by pulling on things. he wakes me in the morning with sweet sound he makes. then smiles when i see him standing in his cot. he bops to music and claps his hands
he is into everything. he likes pulling stuff out of the plug socket so i have to be eagled eyed ..no teeth but gums forever scratching. shakes his head no
he loves music especially if you sing to him
but why do they say dada and not mama 1st. but he is cute when he is doing his talk
now i need a photographer as he loves camera
Think outside of the box...Think in spirit
Act as if it were impossible to fail!!!

LadyDay your son sounds like my niece with that food thing. She gets really annoyed if you take too long to feed her. She will either cry, or make screamy annoyed noise. It is funny.
She has even started to hold out her hand if she sees you eating, to let you know she wants some. It is too cute.

Well ....Baby Maat is enrolled at college now and is abou to move out.... lol. No he's doing welland recovering from the chicken pox. He's almost a year and a half! It's been such a long time I don't know what pieces to tell you...well he's walking and talkingish he says; "soos" for shoes and socks, and "taaa too" for thank you. Lately he's been keen to feed himself but he's better with pieces of food than with a fork. So true about these children and their impatience when it comes to food. They don't mess about . Baba will follow you into the kitchen to make sure you are getting his food or drink especially if his hasn't beenbrought to himas quick as he see it! We get surround sound high volume effect too. All of a sudden "in a minute" to them just isn't good enough. Is it me or do you feel more guilty for not running a tighter ship somehow...all by this likkle child!!!

I'd say so far he seems like quite a comedian. Just the way...you know when you're trying to see if they overstand what you're telling them and they stay quiet...then watch you on the sly to see if you're still watching them lol. It's strange seeing how big he is now compared to baby like Mekhi.
