Wow! I have not been on here for over 3 years, well since my daughter was born. Took time out to focus on her and my partner. BN village looks very different. It has taken me awhile to navigate around everything.
Baby Nia is 3 years old now. Turned 3, end of August. I understand everybody's concerns about the MMR jab. I researched on it a lot before I went ahead with it. It is important that mother's have the right to make their own choices and not forced into it either way. I am all for informed choices and going with your gut and making the best decision based on the love and protection you have for your own children. A decision is never wrong if thats what motivates you.
I can't really say Baby Nia anymore, more like Big Girl Nia. She insists on reminding me that she is a "big girl" now. "I do not need the toilet seat anymore mummy because I am a big girl now". "I do not need to use the stool anymore or sit on your lap anymore (when we travel on the train)".
She has just gone through Chickenpox, just dealing with the scabs at the moment. Chickenpox is a nasty illness. It terrified me seeing all these nasty spots all over her body. I made sure I did not show how scared I was to her though. Just kept reassurring her that she will get better and the spots will go away and that mummy had chickenpox also. There is not a lot you can do with Chickenpox apart from plastering them with Calamine lotion and giving lots of cuddles.
Anyway I will keep you updated on her. (If you are interested) LOL
