just wondering what you did when choosing God parents

most of the god parents have been chosen except for 1 or 2

i have seen so many people choose God parents and end up having no communication with them down the line

I do believe some people choose to lightly

but i hope and pray i have chosen good ones

Try to choose the friends who are more responsible and who get on well with younger people and children as opposed to your best friends and crew who might be fun.

As for who you might not keep in contact with nobody can know that or see what will happen but I personally have a core of friends I've known like 20 odd years. I'm sure you or your husband do too so think about them. Not foolproof but the best I can think of.

people that already love and pay a part in the childs life. Someone that you honestly believe will play a wonderful part in your child future. Someone that understands you and your partner and what you both are about, and know what you also what for your child.

I think it should be about love family and respect. Someone that you have no doubt that will love your child.

I chose my three closest friends for each of my children, plus a family member for the last two.

I couldn't tell you who my own Godparents are, and didn't want that for my children. I knew I wouldn't fall out with my brother, his wifeand my other sister-in-law (Hubby's sister), so they were my choice.
