Does having children of your own [or in your care], bring out your darkest childhood issues?

Most “olygists know that the average adult as issues that are from their childhood, but most adults do not get to recognise these issues until they have kids of their own.

Has having children reveal something about your own past and has this helped or hindered your child raising skills..?

Deep questions. I thought this was about parenthood though.

I wouldn't saycertain childhood experiences were dark issues. Things that happen to a child are nothing to do with the child it's the childish and sometimessenselessbehaviour of adults that harm them.

It's more and more apparent to me that childhood events definitely have a big impact on your adult life but in terms of bringing up children I'd say you have a point.

It's almost like having someone else to look after makes you need someone to look after you againconfused2....motherhood brings so many childhood memories to me but not necessarily negative ones.
