The arrival of my first grandchild
Born yesterday 7lb 7oz. Maybe there is some significance in that he was born 9yrs to the day I gave birth to my last child.
If we do not have an accurate analysis of the problem, we cannot possibly develop a good strategy to resolve it.

Thank You All, mother and baby doing fine. My son is a very very proud father.
I drove upto Manchester on Tuesday to see him. I had to drive back the same night and I have to say it took me an half hour longer, so concious was I of my own mortality.
Being a grandparent really does change your perspectives.
Incognito if your friends pattern continues he will be around to greet his grt grt grt grt grandchild. I hope this grandchild breaks that cycle.
