The Choice today is no longer between violence & non-violence.
It's either non-violence or non-existence. Martin Luther King Jr.

No. I would feel somewhat guilty taking in some Asian or White child when I know that their are sooooooo many AA kids waiting for homes. If I adopted/did foster care period, they would have to be AA.

I think it's compleate and utter madness.
While a understand that some may have the best of intentions, a part of me can't help but feel that there's a certain amount of fashion statement.

I don't think it's cute when crackers adopt little Black children and I certainly wouldn't want to be bothered with any of theirs. Hell, I don't know how to kill headlice!
If I ever adopt, it will be a Black child. First preference will be American, but would consider a child from the Continent if the opportunity presented itself.

Hell no. What the hell could I get out of adopting a non-black child? I can't teach non-black kids about their heritage and culture. If I wanted to adopt a baby it will be black and it doesn't matter where they come from.

Footprints,
Seemingly, my sister meet some fo the most relative people in her life. First she has a Jamaican-American friend who could not get adopted her White foster parents and eventually got adopted by her abusive Jamaican parents( That was one reason that she went to Connecticut) and then she has another friend, a White guy, who was adopted by his Black foster parents. Ironically, before his parents died( in tragic house fire) they asked their friend could they care for their son if something should ever happen to them. Well it did and she cared for them , from the agr of 5 to now at 34.
I have friend of different background and truthfully, I'm not ready to raise children, but if I were, it would not bother me. Therewere times when my mother temporarily care for some of the White kids( She wasn't a maid. She was a friend to acouple fo the families) on my street. Even myself, one of my caretakers was Cambodian. My aunt recently was asked to raise her friend's Jamaican American daughter if she died of her cancer( which thankfully is in remission). If I wanted kids and they told me to raise a non-Black kid, I'll accept because I would like a piece of me to go to them, just like I would with a Black child and looking at these examples I had in my life help me to better them as kids.
While I 'm not against trandracial adoption of anysort, I'm still uneasy with these stars adopting these kids. I could be absolutely wrong about them, but I just do not see them actually raising them, I see the nannies doing their job, while lying to the world about it. Now that Angelina has done it seemingly everybody want to do. I even read rumors about Mariah Carey adopting a kid from Mexico. I would want to see them used in that way.
