Default Accelerated Learning? - 17-07-07, 08:41 AM

Hi All,

ReChild.com is the result of years of study and communication with leading experts in the field of African history, cognitive psychology and education.

What are your feelings on Accelerated Learning?

A lot of people have not heard of Accelerated Learning which is a method of learning based on the latest most current research on the human brain. More has been learnt about the brain in the last 15 years than in all history. In education, we're taught to utilise more of the LEFT side of our brains which is linear and can speed us to quick boredom and lack of interest. However, if we were to create a balance between the left and right, which draws on our creativity for which we are renowned as a people, we could drastically enhance our learning capabilities!

Simply put, we all have a natural learning style, some say there are upto 8 different styles. By recognising these and drawing upon our natural abilities, learning becomes natural, easy and fun!

I have brought these skills together into small bite-sized packs with an Afro-centric theme geared towards "whole brain" learning as well as teaching our children on subjects such as:

Africa and her countries and cultures
Carribean countries and cultures
Maths
Science
Logic
African Languages
Animals
Reading
Writing
Self Esteem building - Love of self

Our is site is due to open soon, but we need your help in tailoring our products best for our community. Please support us by visiting our site and answering a few questions.

Many Thanks

Philip

Accelerated learning of WHAT?

You have to submit to marketing research to learn about the pruduct?

This seems to be some kind of psychological thing. Marketing people expect everybody to put up with BS.

I didn't know about the left and right brain business when I was in grammar school. But good sci-fi writers obviously had to have imagination. So sci-fi containing good science must do left and right brain stimulation.

um

Hi Umbrachrist,

Many thanks for your input. The majority of businesses here where I am in the UK or anywhere in the world for that matter, usually has some sort of Market Research to establish whether a business idea may be of interest to its potential customers. Being that we have researched and acquired such knowledge that you may not be aware of, just simply means that 'you are not aware of it'. If for example the people we approach are not interested in such an idea, we will simply say "ok, maybe they're not interested" and then simply shelve the idea. No harm done.

There are millions of people today that are benefiting from the simple principles of accelerated learning, which in reality is the utilization of your natural brain functions which as you mentioned are not generally taught in schools however these functions do exist.

We a group of people from different backgrounds, some straight out of university, so if you're impying that we sound like a marketing organisation based on our first post, then I think thanks are in order ;-)

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Very best regards,

Philip
